House Committee on Oversight and Accountability Chairman James Comer (R-Ky.) today is requesting information related to the U.S. Department of Commerce’s recent decision to cease issuing new export licenses related to certain firearms, firearm components, and ammunition for approximately 90 days to certain countries. In a letter to Commerce Secretary Gina Raimondo, Chairman Comer warns Commerce’s recent decision is at odds with the agency’s mission and is inconsistently applied across industries, bringing into question whether the domestic firearm manufacturing industry is a target. |

Massachusetts lawmakers listened to testimony on 56 bills related to firearms Tuesday as the Senate President has vowed to have a gun reform package on Governor Maura Healey's desk by the end of the session. The bills ranged from a ban on firearm silencers to more relaxed gun laws, even one bill which would ban carrying a firearm while riding an ATV. The bills also included more language to crack down on so-called ghost guns, untraceable firearms that are made at home.

President Joe Biden’s campaign is waking from its slumber and vowing he will “finish the job” on gun control as a central pillar of his pitch to stay in The White House for another four years. The Biden-Harris reelection campaign is circulating memos and reaching out to friendly media to make the case that President Biden will use a second term to usher in gun control’s radical unconstitutional agenda.

While Americans are frequently confronted with stories centered on guns being used to take lives, few are aware that many more humans are likely saved by firearms every year. A key reason for this lack of understanding is unreliable federal crime data—data that has too often been skewed by anti-gun politics. |

The AR-15 platform is arguably the most popular firearm in the United States. Eugene Stoner’s iconic design is largely defined by its modularity, making it one of the most customizable platforms available. With that popularity and easily customizable nature, what are some of the best trigger upgrades for the AR-15? This is by no means a comprehensive list of all the great options available. Nonetheless, here are a few of my top picks. |

The 38 Super and 45 ACP are two powerful centerfire handgun cartridges most commonly chambered in the 1911 pistol.
Although a somewhat obscure cartridge, the 38 Super is held in high regard in the competitive shooting community and was originally developed for law enforcement to defeat the rudimentary body armor and light sheet steel car doors of the 1930’s. |

The term “inside out” can be taken literally or applied as a phrase to describe the thoroughness with which an idea is understood. In this month’s issue, we hope to illustrate that the latter especially is used as a guiding principle to keep the American firearm industry at the top of its game. We also suggest a third application that is appropriate for every shooter. |

Semi-automatic pistols chambered for the .22 WMR cartridge have been rare over the years, especially when compared to the ever-popular .22 LR rimfire models. This is most likely due to the mechanical challenges of building a pistol action that will operate reliably with the .22 WMR, which is more commonly known as .22 Magnum or .22 Mag. This long, slender, tapered and rimmed cartridge can be problematic when feeding from removable box magazines. |

Ohio gun owners moved a step closer to guarantees that federal laws could not be used to take away those guns. The Ohio House Government Oversight Committee recently advanced the Second Amendment Preservation Act, which would stop Ohio law enforcement agencies from enforcing what the act calls unconstitutional federal gun control laws, executive orders or agency rule interpretations. |
