"Earlier this year, votes were held in the Senate on gun control amendments to S1805 (the firearms lawsuit preemption bill). One of those amendments was an Assault Weapons Ban renewal. Many gun owners used this as a litmus test for their candidates. Here's how the outcome of the elections stacks up against votes for the assault weapons ban. Please note that this does not list all votes -- merely those who are running for reelection and who voted for the ban." ...

... "This is a huge concern because these federal standards can easily be used by a future Hillary Clinton administration to keep certain groups of people (such as gun owners) from receiving these National ID cards. Even the Bush administration has supported legislation (PATRIOT Acts I and II) that could be used to designate groups like GOA and NRA as terrorist organizations (see here for details). If the feds can set standards that keep you from getting a 'National ID card,' then your life has just become very difficult -- as your ability to write a check or buy a gun becomes next to impossible." ...

 QUOTES TO REMEMBER
Foolish liberals who are trying to read the Second Amendment out of the Constitution by claiming it's not an individual right or that it's too much of a public safety hazard don't see the danger in the big picture. They're courting disaster by encouraging others to use the same means to eliminate portions of the constitution they don't like. — Alan Dershowitz
