In a candid interview two days after addressing the Gun Rights Rally in Washington, D.C.—where he acknowledged “law-abiding gun owners have been unfairly demonized”—former Brady Campaign President Dan Gross told Liberty Park Press and TheGunMag.com about a project he is preparing to launch with veteran firearms trainer and Second Amendment activist Rob Pincus that could be a turning point in the gun rights versus gun control debate. |

Two men allegedly impersonating FBI agents attempted to force their way into an Española, N.M., apartment around 4 a.m. One intruder was armed with what was later discovered to be a pellet gun with a laser pointer taped to the top of it. The homeowner announced several times that he was armed. After the intruder with the gun entered the apartment living room, the homeowner fired, fatally striking him. The intruder, a 31-year-old man, was later transported to the hospital where he died. The other suspect fled the scene and has yet to be identified. The armed citizen was not charged.

Politicians seeking to confiscate guns from Americans shouldn't share their plans with the public beforehand and should seek to maintain an element of surprise, Joy Behar said on "The View" Monday. Behar was discussing former 2020 presidential hopeful Beto O'Rourke, a Democrat from Texas, and said it was foolish of him to announce his plans for gun confiscation before he was elected. She advised all politicians to go after the country's guns after they've assumed office. |

“All topics are in-bounds tonight except one,” said the moderator of a candidate forum in a middle school auditorium in the southeastern Virginia town of Yorktown on Wednesday night. “Tonight we are not gonna talk about impeachment, we’re not gonna talk about Trump, we’re not gonna talk about Pelosi. We get enough of that every single day. That’s not what we’re here for.” |

I’ve been using rifle-caliber Marlin lever guns — .30-30, .35 Remington, .45-70 — most of my life and I confess to being a little late to the pistol-caliber party. Truth be told, my interest in the M94 was sparked by John Taffin’s enthusiasm. I figured if John liked it, there had to be something to it. The Marlin Model 1894 was originally built to accept the most popular late 19th Century handgun cartridges — .44-40, .32-20 .38-40 and the like. By the 1970s the menu had grown to include our two powerful, preeminent pistol-caliber offerings — the .44 and .357 Magnum |

A state lawmaker says he wants to get ahead of technological improvements in 3D printing. A new bill would ban 3D printed firearms. It was introduced by Democratic Representative Abdullah Hammoud. He says the technology to print components of firearms and then assemble them with other parts into guns is still new and 3D printers are expensive, but they’ve gotten cheaper over the years.

Any shooter who wants to significantly improve their gun handling and marksmanship skills will find action pistol competition an excellent way to achieve that goal. For a modest ($10-$20) match entry fee shooters will be able to draw from a holster, engage multiple targets with rapid fire, shoot while moving, master quick reloading, and perfect many other advanced skill sets that would get them quickly ejected from most commercial indoor ranges. |

Hunter numbers are on the decline in Nebraska, and a Game and Parks program aims to change that. In Nebraska, hunting is a tradition and a way of life. Hunting is also how wildlife is managed, and the sale of hunting permits and stamps fund wildlife conservation efforts. If hunting becomes obsolete, much of that could be lost. So, the Nebraska Game and Parks Commission is offering a new program called "Take 'Em Hunting", to expose more people to the pastime. |

Co-host Meghan McCain also weighed in on the issue and said O'Rourke has poisoned the well and scared off independent voters from the Democratic party.
Submitter's Note: Make no mistake. All of the democrats want to take our guns. Most just won't admit to it. |

The New York police officer who died in a “tragic accident” over the weekend crashed his SUV after inadvertently shooting himself in the leg, investigators revealed Monday.
Officer Manuel Ortiz of the Rochester Police Department was heading to work Saturday night when his personal Smith and Wesson M&P 9mm pistol somehow discharged inside his vehicle, striking an artery....
“There’s going to be a few questions we will never be able to answer,” Baxter told reporters Monday. “But the fact pattern shows that the weapon was outside of the holster at the time and it looks like an accidental discharge…down through his thigh.”
Submitter's note: Negligent discharge, not an accident. The gun didn't go off by itself. |

QUOTES
TO REMEMBER |
...If a man lies under oath or procures the lie of another under oath, if he perjures himself or suborns perjury, he is guilty under the statute law. Under the higher law, under the great law of morality and righteousness, he is precisely as guilty if, instead of lying in a court, he lies in a newspaper or on the stump; and in all probability, the evil effects of his conduct are infinitely more widespread and more pernicious. — Teddy Roosevelt - May 12, 1900 |
