Today, November 5th, LR-130 passed to ensure that your free exercise of the right to self-defense is protected equally across the whole state. For too long, local anti-gun bureaucrats have refused to recognize your freedom by instituting concealed carry restrictions beyond state law. Time and again, they usurp your rights in their quest to diminish your freedoms. LR-130 was put to the voters to end these constant obstructions. |

Church leaders in both Lauderdale and Franklin counties say, especially with the county's divide and tensions surrounding the election, it's more important than ever to improve safety.
"We've seen multiple church shootings and things like that, so really I think it's a good thing," said pastor, Michael Cole.
"Just for the safety of our congregation, our community, for the people around us, for the people we minister to on a daily basis," said pastor, Sean Reathford.
Church pastors in Franklin and Lauderdale counties say they think the stand your ground amendments will help church attendees feel safer. |

Here's the problem, though. Such actions by the platforms would be expected, albeit dubiously, if what they sold could loosely be interpreted as a firearm or part. Arrowhead Tactical Apparel, however, sells clothing. True, their product like does look like it would appeal more to firearms owners than not, yet that is where it appears so nefarious. When guidelines are open to interpretation, it doesn't take much to see this circumstance and as what looks awfully like profiling. |

Waiting periods. Magazine restrictions. Age limits. California gun owners are optimistic all of these state gun control laws — and more — could soon be ruled unconstitutional.
“It’s going to be earth shattering,” Sam Parades, the executive director of the Gun Owners of California, said of Amy Coney Barrett’s confirmation to the United States Supreme Court. “A whole sea change. Everything will be challenged. Waiting periods, handgun restrictions, magazine restrictions, the so-called assault weapons ban. Open carry will become standard.” |

Despite the social media site’s prohibitions against violent speech, the group featured a lot of “vague calls to action,” says Kathleen Stansberry, assistant professor of communications at Elon University. Some of the comments made reference to guns, such as an exhortation to “grab your guns.” “Is this 2A friendly?,” one commenter writes on the event page for the Harrisburg protest, making reference to the Second Amendment. |

Burt's local activism, on behalf of local Marines and vets and with the fire department, likely gave him a head start with local voters, since many already had some reason to know and trust him. Burt ran a largely Republican-friendly campaign that emphasized the Second Amendment, new ideas in education, and making the state more attractive to diversified industries without relying on taxes and regulations. He was especially against any attempts to pass "red flag" laws that might allow unelected officials to "come in and confiscate guns, and put the burden on the [citizen] to prove they meet legal requirements to get their guns back." |

Last week, the U.S. Senate confirmed Judge Amy Coney Barrett to the United States Supreme Court. And although she’s not from Texas, Judge Barrett is Texas.
It is hard to imagine another state possessing the same grit, determination, and fortitude as Texas. The lores of Texas are legendary; from famous battle cries (“Remember the Alamo”) to outlaw cowboys, the Lone Star State epitomizes the individual standing firm against all odds. |

An appeal filed on behalf of two University of Virginia students who claim a federal law restricting sales of handguns to people younger than 21 is unconstitutional appeared to gain some support in a recent hearing in front of the 4th Circuit Court of Appeals.
The lawsuit, filed in October 2018 on behalf of then-20-year old Tanner Hirschfeld and then-18-year-old Natalia Marshall, asked the Western District Court of Virginia to declare the gun act unconstitutional and to stop enforcement of handgun and ammunition age restrictions. |

Some of the new regional nations are obvious: the West Coast and Hawaii; the Plains Tier, stretching from Idaho east to Iowa and south to Oklahoma; the Northeast, down through Virginia. Texas can raise its own seventh flag; Alaska, its second. Adding Indiana and Ohio to the solid-red New South leaves us with a four-state Great Lakes nation. |
