Buried well back into the pages of just about any reloading manual, one will find recommended loads for a cartridge which this year is celebrating its 40th anniversary and is still going strong despite being overshadowed by the slightly more-potent .327 Federal.

It’s the .32 H&R Magnum, a little hole-puncher of a cartridge which has accounted for small game and predators all over the landscape, and is no slouch when it comes to ballistics in a defensive situation, either.

In the age of caliber advancements, the 7mm Remington Magnum (or 7mm Rem Mag for short) was developed to compete with Roy Weatherby’s proprietary rifles of the 1960’s. The fact that it’s still a shooter’s favorite for hunting and long-range shooting is a testament to how great the 7mm Rem Mag really is.

Gun fit matters, but not in the way people think. Talking points like “feels good in the hand” or “points naturally” are worthless qualities; fit matters when it enables better shooting.

It’s like pillow-top mattresses. You think they’re great because they feel soft, but eventually, support matters more for a good night’s sleep.

On October 31, 2024, a Halloween night home invasion in Iberia Parish took a violent turn when a resident defended himself against an intruder armed with a knife. The Iberia Parish Sheriff’s Office reported that deputies responded to two separate home invasions and stabbings around 6:00 p.m. in the 4900 and 5000 blocks of Dolphin Street. The incidents resulted in multiple injuries, including a gunshot wound to the intruder, Casey Meaux, who was armed and allegedly responsible for attacking the occupants of both residences.

No, said an Eighth Circuit panel in U.S. v. Jackson earlier this year; yesterday, the court refused to rehear the case en banc, so the answer is still no in the Eighth Circuit. Judge David Stras, joined by Judges Ralph Erickson, Steven Grasz, and Jonathan Kobes (a total of four of the eleven judges on the court), dissented from the denial of rehearing.

The Centennial State can once again deny 18-to-20-year-olds the ability to purchase any firearms. A three-judge panel for the Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals on Tuesday overturned a lower court injunction against Colorado’s recently passed gun sales ban for adults under 21. The panel determined that the lower court “abused its discretion” by finding the ban likely unconstitutional. Instead, it ruled that commercial firearm purchases are not covered under the Second Amendment.

Buckeye Firearms Association PAC is proud to report that in all our critical 2024 races BFA-endorsed candidates won — many by wide margins. BFA-endorsed Donald Trump won a historic comeback victory, defying the predictions of media pundits and pollsters, to become the 47th president of the United States. This is only the second time in U.S. history that a candidate has won nonconsecutive terms, the first Grover Cleveland, who served 1885-1889 and 1893-1897. Ohio Sen. JD Vance will join Trump as vice president.

In a historic political comeback, Donald J. Trump has secured his return to the White House, defeating Kamala Harris in the 2024 U.S. Presidential Election. The victory marks the first time in over 130 years that a former president has reclaimed the presidency, making Trump both the oldest president-elect and the symbol of a new era of conservative resurgence. This win not only reshapes American politics but also energizes a pro-gun, pro-liberty base that sees in Trump a defender of freedoms and individual rights.

 QUOTES TO REMEMBER
The right of a citizen to bear arms, in lawful defense of himself or the State, is absolute. He does not derive it from the State government. It is one of the high powers" delegated directly to the citizen, and `is excepted out of the general powers of government.' A law cannot be passed to infringe upon or impair it, because it is above the law, and independent of the lawmaking power." [Cockrum v. State, 24 Tex. 394, at 401-402 (1859)]
