#3 buckshot features around 20 pellets in the average shot shell, and offers an effective range of over 30 yards (if shells are patterned and the choke is adjusted accordingly). Sold mainly as ammunition for deer, #3 buck ammo also has a great reputation for large game birds, predators, and home defense.
The #3 buckshot size gives you a nice balance if you find the #2 buck too big or prefer more range and punch than #4 buck. Its three-inch shell offers around 24 pellets, depending on the manufacturer. And the type of shotgun you’re using can really influence its performance, which is why patterning is important. Generally, this is considered 20 gauge buckshot, as it's the most popular firearm to use with this size round.

The Tipped Triple-Shock X is an updated variation on Barnes Bullets' popular Triple-Shock X (TSX) that debuted in 2003, as a premium hunting bullet. TSX was – and still is – extremely popular with a relatively large following, but this tipped version aims to improve upon it with the polymer tip and redesigned nose cavity.
These features offer better rapid expansion and a mushroom effect that splits uniformly into four “petals.” These petals spread away from the center of the bullet on impact, creating a massive wound channel and extreme damage if the shot is in or near any vitals on the target. This effect is similar to a hollow point, but more predictable and consistent due to the features explained below. |

The world is violent. Lots of people think that we should pass more laws to make the world safer and less violent. I think gun-control laws are dangerous. The reasons are complex and not necessarily obvious.

A Trump-appointed judge issued a blow Thursday night to a New York State gun law that barred guns in places of worship. The Democrat-led legislature in New York passed a series of laws in September aimed at restricting concealed carry after the Supreme Court overturned a statute requiring individuals to show “proper cause” in order to obtain a concealed carry permit. One such restriction barred firearms in places of worship and “sensitive” areas. |

Down to the Wire for Oregon Gun Control Measure The fate of an Oregon gun control measure opponents call “extremist” is coming down to the wire as Nov. 8 looms, with KGW News in Portland reporting a recent poll showing slightly more opposition than support, but the margin is about 3 percentage points.
According to Nelson Research, “Measure 114 has 46.1% of voters supporting, with 49.4% opposing, and 4.5% remain undecided.” As a result, this battle is too close to call just four days before the election. |

President Joe Biden used a speech in Pennsylvania on Saturday to urge voters to support John Fetterman (D), pledging the U.S. Senate candidate would help him secure an “assault weapons” ban.
Biden said, “But here’s the deal: Public safety is why John got into public service in the first place. Oz won’t do a thing about guns. But John Fetterman will veto — with your votes, John Fetterman will be in the Senate and be able to help me add one more thing — what I got done when I was a senator: ban assault weapons.”

The satirist P.J. O’Rourke once quipped: “Remember that all tax revenue is the result of holding a gun to somebody’s head. Not paying taxes is against the law. If you don’t pay your taxes, you’ll be fined. If you don’t pay the fine, you’ll be jailed. If you try to escape from jail, you’ll be shot.” |

QUOTES
TO REMEMBER |
I do believe that where there is a choice only between cowardice and violence, I would advise violence. Thus when my eldest son asked me what he should have done had he been present when I was almost fatally assaulted in 1908 [by an Indian extremist opposed to Gandhi's agreement with Smuts], whether he should have run away and seen me killed or whether he should have used his physical force which he could and wanted to use, and defend me, I told him it was his duty to defend me even by using violence. Hence it was that I took part in the Boer War, the so-called Zulu Rebellion and [World War I]. Hence also do I advocate training in arms for those who believe in the method of violence. I would rather have India resort to arms in order to defend her honor than that she should in a cowardly manner become or remain a helpless witness to her own dishonor. — Mohandas K. Gandhi, Young India, August 11, 1920 from Fischer, Louis ed.,The Essential Gandhi, 1962 |
