“Guns in Mexico are essentially American guns,” Rubin said. “Imagine a river flowing south from the United States full of guns and weapons -- that's what's happening in Mexico every day.”
Submitter's note:
Obama appointee. The liberals don't want to admit it, but many of the guns including virtually ALL of the full automatic weapons are coming from South America.
Do they actually expect us to believe that the cartels that are smuggling tons of cocaine, marijuana, fentanyl and humans can't get guns from anywhere in the world that they want.

Michael Bloomberg is probably running for president. That's bad news.
According to the New York Times, the former New York City mayor is making preparations to file for the Alabama Democratic primary. Alabama isn’t an early voting state, but it has an early registration deadline. Key Bloomberg advisers told the Times that this doesn’t mean he’ll surely enter the race, but that he will if he thinks it’s necessary: “We now need to finish the job and ensure that Trump is defeated — but Mike is increasingly concerned that the current field of candidates is not well positioned to do that.” |

Because the Legislature defended your freedom and did not accede to his demands, Governor Tony Evers issued an executive order for a “special” session that convenes today, November 7. Gov. Evers previously tried to undermine your Second Amendment right to keep and bear arms through a confiscation scheme devoid of due process and the criminalization of private transfers – and he’s hoping you won’t notice his stubborn attempt to steal your rights again. Your NRA remains committed to defending the Second Amendment against such infringements and is determined to protect your rights against these schemes in the special session. |

When Tulsa County District Attorney Steve Kunzweiler was asked what would happen when Oklahoma’s constitutional carry law took effect on November 1, he said, “Nothing.”
In a radio interview on Tulsa Beacon Weekend on KCFO AM970, Kunzweiler said basically that criminals will still commit crimes and law-abiding citizens will exercise their constitutional rights. |

Several gun owners on an MSNBC focus group laughed at the notion of "buybacks," a confiscation proposal made by two failed Democratic presidential candidates.
"Who thinks that's a good idea?" MSNBC host Ali Velshi asked the group of eight Wisconsin gun owners. Some laughed and smirked, and one quipped, "I bought mine for a million bucks, so if they're willing to pay me that."

At the 2019 rally for the Second Amendment on the west lawn of the Capitol, in Washington, D.C. about 2,000 freedom activists were listening to speakers orate about the necessity of restoring the Second Amendment. Most attendees noticed a helicopter orbit around the capitol a couple of times, starting around 2:30, as I recall.
Several people thought it might be President Trump having a look at the crowd. I did not think so. The helicopter was too small for Marine 1, the designation for the most commonly used helicopter by the President. The helicopter appears to be a Bell 412EP, designated Eagle 1, by the Park Police. |

Rodney West of Dover on Thursday was acquitted of murder and firearm charges in the shooting death of Derrick Combs.
West, 54, was charged last year with first-degree murder and possession of a deadly firearm during the commission of a felony. Jurors found him not guilty on both charges and opted not to convict him of second degree murder, manslaughter, or criminally negligent homicide.
The shooting took place at Towne Point Elementary School in Dover on Aug. 28, 2018. West was employed there as a custodian and was confronted by Combs, 39, while attempting to leave work for the evening. The former custodian testified the shooting was justified through self defense. |

So what gives with the VPC’s bogus research? Well, as The Daily Signal’s Amy Swearer explains, “The anti-gun group defines ‘non-self-defense incident’ to include virtually any fatality involving a concealed-carry permit holder, including ones that do not remotely resemble the type of intentional homicide evoked by the Violence Policy Center’s strong claims about public safety. For example, roughly 40% of the deaths (534 of 1,335 [recorded in the study]) are suicides. While tragic, firearm suicides are not what a term like ‘concealed-carry killer’ brings to mind.” |
