A Curry College student has been arrested after authorities said they found a gun and ammunition in his dorm room.

Darius Boodoosingh, 18, of Boston, was arrested yesterday on nine different charges, including three firearms and ammunition charges and six drug possession with intent to distribute charges, Milton police said.

Millions of dollars later, Maryland has officially decided that its 15-year effort to store and catalog the "fingerprints" of thousands of handguns was a failure.

Since 2000, the state required that gun manufacturers fire every handgun to be sold here and send the spent bullet casing to authorities. The idea was to build a database of "ballistic fingerprints" to help solve future crimes.

A Grand Valley State University student senator is fighting gun control policies on campus. WZZM reports Benjamin Soltis put through a measure at the last Student Senate General Assembly meeting that says students should be able to carry guns on campus during emergencies and that the University should waive punishments for students who use guns to protect themselves.

We have to understand our enemy. Yes, I call the anti-rights gun grabbers our enemy. They want the average citizen disarmed. The gun grabbers want us dependent on the government for our safety. We need to understand our enemy so we can better persuade the average guy on the street that we are right and our enemy is wrong. That is how we will retain our right of armed self-defense.

The gun grabbers say that all private gun owners have to be disarmed since someone.. somewhere.. is evil. Their reasoning is simple, if misguided. Let me explain where the anti-rights bigots are wrong and we are right.

Mayor Martin J. Walsh will outlaw replica handguns in public spaces at a special ordinance signing tomorrow morning at Twelfth Baptist Church in Roxbury.

Boston Police Commissioner William B. Evans, Twelfth Baptist Rev. Jeffrey Brown, Dan Mulhern, Walsh's advisor on public-safety initiatives, and other officials are expected to attend the 9:30 a.m. event on Warren Street.

There's a big controversy brewing in Hernando County over a proposed outdoor gun range. Neighbors against the idea are protesting, while the man behind the gun range says it will be perfectly safe.

Christopher Russo and his family like to shoot guns on their property north of Weeki Wachee, just off U.S. 19 in Hernando County. Right now it's a place to hang out, but Russo wants to open an outdoor gun range there

Mobilizing opposition to the government’s surveillance legislation is difficult because the British have become intellectually lazy about defending liberty, the Conservative MP David Davis has said.

Davis said it was astonishing how cavalier people were about liberty, citing the fact that Britons have no recent experience of living under a police state as an explanation.

The university will host a campus carry forum sponsored by the Student Government Association on November 11. The forum is in response to the passage of Senate Bill 11, commonly known as “campus carry,” which allows for concealed firearms on the campuses of public higher institutions with designated “gun-free zones.”

We applaud the ruling by the 2nd U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals upholding Connecticut's common-sense ban on military-style assault weapons and large-capacity ammunition magazines carrying more than 10 rounds.
