Yahoo News pointed out during the outpouring of media support for Joe Biden that a Biden presidency would usher in the first time a rescue dog has been in the White House. Conservative radio talk show host Jason Rantz retweeted the Yahoo News story, saying, “These kinds of stories will come for four years.” NBC News reported on Biden’s rescue dog, saying, “The Bidens adopted Major in 2018 from the Delaware Humane Association after fostering the German shepherd.” People magazine published a statement from the Bidens regarding Major: “We are so happy to welcome Major to the Biden family, and we are grateful to the Delaware Humane Association for their work in finding forever homes for Major and countless other animals.” |

The plain facts of the Ruger Bisley’s introduction to the American shooting public are well-known. It came along in 1986, a variation of the New Model Blackhawk and New Model Single-Six revolvers. Initially made in six calibers—.22 LR, .32 H&R Mag., .357 Mag., .41 Mag., .44 Mag. and .45 Colt—the Bisley differed from the parent guns in the radically different shape of its hammer, trigger and most of all, its grip frame. |

The Army and Marine Corps are both looking at new medium and heavy machine gun technology to replace the venerable 7.62mm M240 and the .50 caliber "Ma Deuce" M2. "Based on the success of the Next Generation Squad Weapons (NGSW), we are interested in learning more about the possibilities in the state of technology for next-gen medium and next-gen heavy machine guns that would be used to potentially replace our legacy systems," David Oatley, product director for crew served weapons at the Army's Program Executive Office Soldier, said Friday at the National Defense Industrial Association's Armaments, Robotics and Munitions conference. |

Measuring the performance of self-defense rounds isn't an easy task, and over the decades, both government and private enterprises have come up with differing methods to test the effectiveness of bullet designs built to stop a threat. One such method, the so-called "FBI Protocol" provides an objective method of measurement through the use of ballistic gel medium. One company, Clear Ballistics, is helping to revolutionize the use of ballistic gel among companies and individuals alike. |

Editor's Note: This editorial is a prime example of the propaganda produced by gun control activists on a regular basis in stoking fear. The skewing of statistics and the use of misleading rhetoric is a tactic that law-abiding citizens know all too well.
Recent news stories reported sharp increases in firearm purchases during 2020, coinciding with the spread of COVID 19 and racial injustice unrest. In June 2020, the FBI reported a record 3.9 million background checks, up from 3.7 million in March 2020. Some theorized the polarization of politics also contributed to increases in gun ownership.

Growing reports of fraud in swing states are making their way onto alternative news sites – the mainstream media obviously won't touch the issue. Numerous reports have surfaced about observers not being allowed to do their jobs. They have been thwarted from having six-foot views of vote counters, been kept out of such rooms, had paper posters block any view, and, in some cases, even been escorted off the premises. |

The .50 Action Express cartridge is, without a doubt, one of the world’s most powerful pistol cartridges. It features a .500-inch bullet diameter (33mm) in a 1.285-inch straight-walled case that has a rebated rim. The overall length of the standard .50 AE round measures 1.610 inches, and the ammo is powered with a large pistol primer. According to the Sporting Arms and Ammunition Manufacturers’ Institute (SAAMI), the maximum pressure of .50 AE ammo should not exceed 36,000 pounds per square inch (psi). |

One of John Browning's nearly forgotten early Colts, the Model 1902 Sporting was just in production for six years during the administration of Teddy Roosevelt. Sandwiched between Colt's Model 1900 and the smaller but more successful Model 1903 Pocket, the big Model 1902 used an impressive 6-inch barrel which gave it a nearly 9-inch long overall length and a weight the tipped the scales at about 35-ounces. |

Which doe should you shoot? When should you shoot it, before or after the rut? How many does should I shoot? These are common questions among deer hunters. The Maine Department of Inland Fisheries & Wildlife issued a record 110,000 any-deer permits this year, a 61-percent increase over 2019. Add to that the unlimited antlerless permits available to expanded archery hunters and a lot more hunters will be asking these questions this season. Here are a few guidelines to help the decision-making process. |

The hunting season just started, but records may already be broken. A hunter from West Virginia is hopeful that he may have set a new record after taking down a 12-point buck. It will still take some time for an official measurement to come in, however, which means no official record can be made until then. |

Trapping surely isn’t for everybody, though it’s not that it isn’t for anybody. Some 13,300 fur taker permits were sold in Ohio last year. It's worth noting that as recently as 2010 more than 20,500 permits were sold, suggesting a decline in an activity that helped build the United States and Canada by spurring exploration tied to the profitable pursuit of pelts. |
