Three handguns that were reported stolen in Bloomfield Hills, Detroit and Grosse Pointe Woods and as far back as 1969 were recovered after it was learned they were recently sold to Cabela’s in Dundee.
The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office reported the weapons were all listed on the law enforcement network as stolen property. The oldest weapon — a .38 cal., five-shot revolver — was stolen in a home invasion that occurred in 1969 in Grosse Pointe Woods, the sheriff’s report said.
The other two weapons included a Colt .45 semi-automatic 7-shot revolver that was stolen in Detroit in 1973 and a Colt .45, six- shot revolver taken from Bloomfield Hills in 1998.

When it comes to your eyes, do you really want to cut corners? I can say that I've gone through my share of the cheap plastic eyewear. What ends up happening is they get scratched up. Now you can no longer see clearly through them. As a competition shooter, that can cost you. |

Conservatives have railed for years against so-called sanctuary jurisdictions, criticizing localities that refuse to cooperate with federal immigration policies they deem heartless and ineffective. In the past year, however, some conservative lawmakers have taken a page from the progressive playbook, employing sanctuary imagery in opposition to gun safety legislation they deem to be an unconstitutional restriction of their rights under the Second Amendment. |

Several hundred people crowded the Spotsylvania County office parking lot while another 195 packed into the Board of Supervisors meeting room Tuesday night.
The monthly agenda had a lot of items on it, but the big crowd was there to take aim at what they see as a threat to their Second Amendment right to bear arms. Most in the crowd were men, ranging from teens to older men with white hair. Many sported beards and camouflage gear. Some wore NRA hats. |

I have been watching the recent developments closely around our State and Country in relation to your Second Amendment rights. As the Chief Law Enforcement Officer for Navarro County, I am here to reassure you I fully support your Second Amendment rights. Regardless of the fact if Navarro County is a “Second Amendment Sanctuary County” or not, I am a Constitutional Sheriff who follows the law and FIRMLY believes in your constitutional rights. Be assured, we will never enforce any law that is unconstitutional nor that would ever take away our citizens rights to protect themselves or their families from being harmed. |

If Virginia politician Corey Stewart has his way, many Virginians will find guns under the Christmas tree this year. The second amendment supporter is urging people to gift their loved ones a firearm this holiday season.
The urge comes in response to Democratic promises to pass new gun laws when they take power in Richmond in January.
"A gun for Christmas, especially for self-protection, I think it's a great gift," Stewart, the outgoing Republican chairman of the Prince William County Board of Supervisors, said.

New York Billionaire Michael Bloomberg is attempting to claw his way up from the bottom of the 2020 Presidential polls by promising to pack the Supreme Court with “pro-gun control judges” if he were elected president.
In a Chicago Tribune op-ed, the anti-gun former NYC mayor described his fear that the Supreme Court would do the worst possible thing he could think of. He’s afraid the justices would dare to vote to uphold God-given rights enshrined in the Constitution and rule in favor of pro-Second Amendment voices in the case of New York State Rifle & Pistol Assn. v. The City of New York. |

Leaders in two Richmond suburbs have voted this week on resolutions in response to a growing demand across Virginia for local governments to declare they are “sanctuaries” that will not infringe on residents’ gun rights under the Second Amendment.
The Hanover County Board of Supervisors’ adoption Wednesday of a modified “sanctuary” resolution was loudly cheered by many of the several hundred people in attendance, but a resolution passed a day earlier by Henrico County’s supervisors made no mention of gun rights, disappointing dozens of people who had sought a stronger stance in the face of possible legislation in the upcoming Virginia General Assembly. |
