Federal agents this morning raided Polymer80, one of the largest makers of firearm build kits, which are chided as ‘ghost guns’ by the left. The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms seized records from the company’s headquarters near Carson City, Nevada on Friday. The agency claims Polymer80 is illegally manufacturing and distributing firearms, failing to pay taxes, shipping guns across state lines, and not conducting background checks on buyers. |

Joe Biden has begun naming his picks for top political positions in a Biden administration, and it is already evident that many of them are not fans of Americans’ Second Amendment right to keep and bear arms.
For example, California Attorney General Xavier Becerra—Biden’s choice to head the Department of Health and Human Services—has spent the past three years defending that state’s absurdly restrictive gun control laws in federal court. |

Some of the very people who are now advancing the most preposterous claims of voter fraud — e.g., attorney L. Lin Wood — are also responsible for helping to raise $2 million to bail out Kyle Rittenhouse, the domestic terrorist who was caught on video and accused of killing two people and wounding another in Kenosha, Wis. They think he is a victim whose murderous rampage was justified in self-defense. This is an exceedingly dangerous mind-set that will victimize the whole country.
Ed.: Self-defense is now 'domestic terrorism'. |

But Schragger referred not to battles over pandemic lockdowns, but to conflicts between state governments imposing restrictions on firearms and self-defense rights and localities that refuse to enforce them. He saw the inspiration for such revolts in earlier resistance by sanctuary cities against federal immigration rules.
"The Second Amendment sanctuaries movement borrows from the language and rhetoric of the immigrants' rights movement," he added. "Insofar as the enforcement of state and federal law often depends on the cooperation of local officials, the movement also deploys some of the same strategies: passive non-cooperation, indirect resistance, and rhetorical disobedience." |

Some thoughts on the news that the BATFE has raided Polymer80, Inc.
Polymer80, Inc. sells many different products directly as well as through retailers, including many different kits, parts, and even complete (serialized) firearms. I am a fan of the company and I have recently been advocating for gun owners to seriously consider going through the experience of building their own gun so that they familiarize themselves more with how guns operate. |

No charges will be brought in the case of a July shooting in Alcova that left one dead, Natrona County’s top prosecutor said Friday.
The investigation found the shooter was acting in self-defense and that the man who died was the aggressor in the fight that led to his death, said Natrona County District Attorney Dan Itzen. Bullet wounds indicate the man was on top of the shooter when the fatal shot was fired. |

While our country has been trapped in a political-election-nightmare, one thing has remained the same, Democrats want more gun-control laws. And Republicans will eventually, reluctantly, cave to the hysterical demand to “do something.”
Anne Stave, a reporter with the Columbus Dispatch, reminded her readers of the anniversary of the mass murder outside the Ned Pepper's Bar in Dayton. In August of 2019, an assailant murdered 9 people and wounded 27 people in 32 seconds. In August of 2020, she complained, “Ohio laws haven't changed a bit.” |

At a mall in Norridge, Ill., a four-year-old boy was asked by Santa what he wanted for Christmas. Like many kids, he asked for a Nerf gun, but Santa’s response was not what he expected.
“Nope, no guns,” said the mall Santa before the boy’s mom clarified his wish by saying, “a Nerf gun.” Santa then doubled down on this and said, “nope, not even a Nerf gun. Nope. If your dad wants to get it for you, that’s fine, but I can’t bring it to you.” |

Incoming President-elect Joe Biden “plans to move quickly against guns, adding the issue to his list of first executive orders,” the Washington Examiner is reporting, citing remarks from Stef Feldman, national policy director of Biden's presidential campaign.
Feldman reportedly said Biden will “make big, bold changes through executive action, not just on policing and climate as we talked about previously, but in healthcare and education on gun violence, on a range of issues.” |

First up: Rep. Terry Meza's House Bill 196, which would gut Texas' Castle Doctrine law by requiring that victims attempt to retreat in the face of a violent attack before using deadly force, except when in their homes. This is nothing more than a criminal protection bill.
NRA-ILA was the leader in the fight for passage of Texas' Castle Doctrine law in 2007. A key element of that law explicitly stated that you have "no duty to retreat" if you are attacked in a place where you have a right to be present, if you did not provoke your attacker, and if you are not engaged in criminal activity at the time deadly force is used. |

Deer hunters in Delaware can now hunt with semi-automatic rifles, according to a ruling in Superior Court. A lawsuit filed on behalf of the Delaware State Sportsmen’s Association claimed that the Delaware Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control had “unlawfully restricted deer hunters from using certain firearms otherwise permitted under Delaware law,” according to the court. |
