"Yeah, right. Walked guns have nothing to do with it. Dead law enforcement personnel and dead Mexicans have nothing to do with it--nor do their mourning families. Veteran agents coming forward and risking retaliation and ruin or worse have nothing to do with it. Institutionalized lies and stonewalling have nothing to do with it."

A father and son from Ocean County were injured while pheasant hunting in Jackson Township early today when another hunter accidentally shot them with a shotgun, officials said. Then, after the two men flagged down a park police officer for help, they were hit again, by a separate round of pellets. The 60-year-old Manchester man and his 34-year-old son from Jackson were hunting in the Colliers Mill Wildlife Management Area around 7:25 a.m. when they were hit, said Larry Ragonese, a spokesman for the state Department of Environmental Protection. |

"The dear leader was an icon within the gun control community. Although he was thousands of miles away, his spirit was always with us. His country is a model of what can be done with strong leadership and an unwavering commitment of stopping dangerous guns and deadly bullets from entering society . . . Imagine walking the safe streets of a small fishing village on the Sea of Japan, never having to worry about guns. He will be missed"

Joe Noel had taken his familiar place in front of his television, watching football Sunday night, when he says two men unexpectedly came through his front door. Before he realized what was happening, Noel says one of the men was pointing a gun at his head. "The guy comes straight through the door and pulled out a gun, and said, 'This ain't no joke, get down on the ground,' and asked me for my money," said Noel. ... Noel says he isn't sure why they chose to break into his home while everyone was there. He suspects they may know someone who was invited to the house for a recent party, and knew what was there for them to steal. Police have a good description of the men and their vehicle.

Wisconsin Carry, Inc. firmly believes in, and advocated for constitutional carry this past legislative session.
While we were successful in putting constitutional carry front and center on the legislative and media radar, ultimately, Wisconsin’s concealed carry law that passed requires mandatory proof of training to be supplied with your application to the DOJ.
A hunters education certificate serves as proof of training as does your DD214 showing honorable discharge from the military. In addition, a concealed carry permit (current or expired) from another state will also serve as proof of training. |

This Monday, December 19th, the city of Shavano Park, near San Antonio, will reconsider the passage of an ordinance dealing with the discharge of a firearm within the city.
Mayor David Marne refused to sign the ordinance, sending it back to the 5 member city council.
In a letter to the Shavano Park City Council, Mayor Marne lists the ordinance as unnecessary and over-reaching. Mayor Marne also notes that state law, currently in place, adequately covers public safety concerns. This far-reaching ordinance could be read to prohibit the legal use of a firearm for self defense. |

Merely having a state medical marijuana card, BATFE insists, means that you fall afoul of Sect. 922(g) of the federal criminal code (from the 1968 federal Gun Control Act), which says that anyone “who is an unlawful user of or addicted to any controlled substance” is basically barred from possessing or receiving guns or ammo (with the bogus assertion that such possession implicates interstate commerce, which courts will pretty much always claim it does). |

This reasoning isn’t just wrong, it is obviously wrong. Even if undocumented people don’t count as part of “the people,” the Supreme Court held in Mapp v. Ohio that the Constitution’s guarantee that no “person” may be denied liberty without due process of law includes the right to be free from illegal searches and seizures. More recently, in McDonald v. Chicago, the Supreme Court held that the same guarantee of due process to all “person[s]” also includes the right to bear arms. Last time we checked, undocumented immigrants are people. |

It didn't garner much media attention, but Second Amendment advocates won a significant victory on Dec. 6 when Republican Senators blocked President Barack Obama’s nomination of a former New York state solicitor general to serve on the U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia. The nomination of Caitlin J. Halligan failed in a 54-45 vote – six 'yeas' short of the 60 required. Republicans opposed Halligan because of her work against gun rights and pro-abortion stances. Sen. Lisa Murkowski of Alaska was the only Republican to vote with Democrats. |

Guess who the pundits are blaming for the shooting? You got it - lax gun laws – a typical and misleading reaction from a media with an anti gun rights agenda. Virginia Tech has a general ban on possession or storage of firearms on campus by employees, students, and volunteers, or any visitor, even if they are carrying a concealed handgun permit, since 2005, so it is a s-t-r-e-t-c-h to say gun control was lacking here.
In fact, strict gun control policies on campus have failed Virginia Tech, twice. Virginia Tech is the place known for the shooting that killed 32 people and injured 25 in 2007. |

Obamacare is an example of social engineering and all the wasted billions on Green or renewable energy is another. The pathetic efforts to stamp out the use of the word “terrorism” from government pronouncements as well as the idiotic “Fast and Furious” gun-running program to undermine the Second Amendment are two more. So far as the federal government is concerned, there is no aspect of our lives in which it does not want to interfere or require obedience. Incandescent light bulbs anyone? The volume of water in a toilet? Nutritional standards? It is endless! |

Some state workers are bristling at two sets of questions asked by a health care provider that could affect the rate they pay.
The questions center on tobacco use and firearms, the Salem Statesman Journal reported (http://stjr.nl/teDpWn ).
...
State Senate Republican Leader Ted Ferrioli said the questions were a "violation of the right to privacy and the Second Amendment right to bear arms" that "ironically put worker's health and wellness at risk."
...
The benefits board asked Kaiser to remove the firearm question. |
