It’s almost time for Santa Claus to make his annual trip around the globe to deliver presents for all the good little boys and girls. However, before he gets started, he’s blowing off some steam at the range with a bunch of silenced rifles, shotguns, handguns, and machine pistols. Or, at least, that’s how the latest ad from SilencerCo depicts things. The video features Santa and Rudolph shooting a variety of silenced firearms out in the snowy North Pole.

In a recent conversation with Breitbart News, Gun Owners of California’s (GOC) Sam Paredes told us to be ready for an all-out ban on semi-automatic long guns in California’s coming legislative session. Paredes is the executive director of GOC, and he suggested the “assault weapons” ban and the “bullet button” ban have both been part of an incremental move toward banning all semi-automatic rifles, whether “assault” style or not. |

Idaho EdNews reported in May 2015 the Garden Valley School District in Boise County had equipped its K-12 school with firearms and trained staff to use the weapons in case of an active shooter incident. |

TheBlaze’s Matt Walsh on Tuesday announced a feat he “never imagined” he “would accomplish” — one of his satirical videos made it all the way to WorldStar Hip Hop. The popular website featuring rap music news and all manner of headline-grabbing stories dominating urban media got wind of Walsh’s hilarious clip shot from inside his car in which he takes on the persona of an offended liberal father who decries toy guns since they lead young boys toward becoming “serial killers and rapists.”

A coalition of gay-rights and gun-control activists is taking on FedEx Corp. for discounts it offers to members of the National Rifle Association, targeting the global shipper during the peak of the holiday season. The group is launching an online campaign and plans protests on Wednesday at FedEx retail stores in Denver; Atlanta; Memphis and Orlando, said Igor Volsky, director of Guns Down, a Washington-based group that advocates for fewer guns in the U.S. and is one of 10 participating organizations. A Dec. 7 letter to the company got no response, he said. FedEx didn't immediately respond to a request for comment.

Some cities around the country would like to destroy them, but can’t because more than a dozen states have passed laws forcing city governments to put the guns up for auction. Gun rights advocates helped get the state laws passed, arguing that destroying old guns is wasteful. But officials in cities like Tucson, Ariz., and Savannah, Ga., are pushing back against those laws, saying they need to destroy the guns to prevent more violence.

Recently enacted Chicago ordinance targeted nuisance party buses, requiring drivers to call police if inebriated patrons chuck a beer bottle out the window, flash unsuspecting bystanders or smoke marijuana. But a shooting last weekend aboard a party bus that left three people hurt in Lakeview — the sixth shooting with injuries in 14 months involving the entertainment vehicles — points to a contradiction in the rules with more violent consequences.

For the past two legislative sessions, the Florida Senate had been the blockade for NRA-endorsed gun bills, but the odds are now greater that that trend won't continue in 2017. A contentious and comprehensive bill that allows for the open-carrying of handguns and otherwise expands gun-owners' rights in Florida will have an easier path to the Senate floor next spring, thanks to friendlier committee assignments than similar proposals that previously stalled. |

Though adults over the age of 21 in Idaho have been able to carry concealed weapons in most places without a county-issued permit since July, many residents are still seeking permits. Applications by Idaho residents looking to carry concealed firearms have remained steady since the change, though now a larger number of the applications are for enhanced permits that allow users to carry concealed weapons in other states, The Idaho Statesman reported. |

Climate change and guns were tied among the issues that Americans ranked lowest in importance in 2016, according to a new poll out from Gallup. The polling group's annual survey ranks the issues Americans say are of the most importance to them each month throughout the year, ultimately averaging the responses out for an annual yearly estimate. While public opinion on most of the 25 issues listed on the poll varied from month to month, "the environment" ranked consistently low in national importance for most Americans throughout the entire year.

The market is prematurely pricing in a big revenue decline for SWHC.
Street sentiment is overly negative following election results and SWHC's elimination from a $500M army contract.
The changing demographics of gun owners will provide a disproportionate boost to SWHC compared to peers like RGR.

Charlie Collins is convinced the thing that might stop a bad guy with a gun on a college campus in Arkansas is more good guys with guns. The Republican state representative from Fayetteville plans to lead the charge in the General Assembly again to reduce limits on where concealed carry permit holders can tote their firearms, namely on college campuses. Collins in years past chipped away at the prohibition on college campus guns with legislation authorizing full-time employees to keep their guns with them, but passage required a compromise to allow each campus' leadership to opt out of such permissiveness.

QUOTES
TO REMEMBER |
By calling attention to a well-regulated militia for the security of the Nation, and the right of each citizen to keep and bear arms, our Founding Fathers recognized the essentially civilian nature of our economy. Although it is extremely unlikely that the fears of governmental tyranny, which gave rise to the second amendment, will ever be a major danger to our Nation, the amendment still remains an important declaration of our basic military-civilian relationships, in which every citizen must be ready to participate in the defense of the country. For that reason I believe the second amendment will always be important. --JOHN F. KENNEDY |
