If you are like me, you may prefer a rifle to a handgun for defensive use. The trouble with a rifle is that it is too darn big to lug around when I am hiking or driving in the desert around Tucson. Enter KelTec and its SUB2000. When I saw the SUB2000 in a local gun store, it was folded, and I thought it was broken! Once the clerk showed me how to unfold it and make it into a slick little carbine that accepts my Glock magazines, I had to have it. |

Rimfire firearms don’t immediately come to mind when one thinks of SIG Sauer, a company that prides itself on its tactical guns. But while .22 LR firearms aren’t a major part of SIG’s DNA, it hasn’t ignored them, either.

We have the mixed blessing of living in interesting times. It is too tempting not to quote from the first paragraph of Charles Dickens’ mid-nineteenth century novel A Tale of Two Cities: “It was the best of times, it was the worst of times, it was the age of wisdom, it was the age of foolishness … ” as the results of the midterm election were full of hope and horror, celebration and dismay for our freedom. |

The Nation’s public schools exist for one purpose: to educate our children to become productive members of society. Something hinders that: school shootings.
But public school shootings need not happen and should not happen. Yet, these incidents do happen. And that says something odd and disturbing about our politicians and prominent groups, like the influential teachers’ unions, that let these incidents happen. |

One of the more common types of small caliber ammunition, the copper-plated round nose can be carried, sold and fired just about anywhere. While the average round nose is becoming less common due to lead concerns, copper plating added during the manufacturing process has become an easy and affordable solution. |

Governor Jay Inslee and Attorney General Bob Ferguson announced that they will continue Washington’s incremental assault on your rights by asking the Legislature to pass more gun control in 2023. While text of the proposed legislative package is not yet available, they stated that they want to ban commonly-owned firearms, require a permit to exercise the Second Amendment right to purchase or acquire firearms, and allow lawsuits to bankrupt law-abiding firearm manufacturers when criminals misuse their products. |
