00 buck, or double-aught buckshot (commonly mistaken as double ought buck), is probably the most famous type of shotgun ammo of all time. Even people unfamiliar with firearms know of it from movies and television. This ammo type, as the name implies, is for hunting deer and large game. In terms of 00 buckshot size, they are .330 inch in diameter and are the most commonly used size. |

The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) has posted an announcement to the Federal Register and is taking comments regarding which AR pistols it will regulate and register.
On December 17, 2020, Breitbart News reported that the ATF is considering a reevaluation of numerous AR pistols with stabilizer braces; a move that could result in reclassifying the firearms and bringing them under the purview of the National Firearms Act (NFA) and/or Gun Control Act (GCA). |

An important piece of NRA-backed legislation passed the Ohio legislature on Friday and is on Gov. Mike DeWine’s desk awaiting his signature. Senate Bill 175 strengthens Ohio’s self-defense laws by removing an individual’s duty to retreat. "Ohio law should favor victims of crime rather than the criminal, as it does now. When a crime occurs, a victim has milliseconds to determine the best course of action for survival. |

In the closing months of 2020, Americans were riveted by the dramatic spectacle of national politics, and with good reason. Freedom was on the ballot to a historic degree. But the genius of our constitutional republic is reflected in the many checks and balances the Founders built into the American government. The ambitions of the political branches are still subject to review by the courts. Judicial rulings can curb overreach and the creeping abuse of power.

When we were younger, with 20/20 vision, we could see like eagles, hawks and owls but that’s no longer the case — it might be why I keep a pair of binoculars in my truck and several more pairs on a coat rack just inside my front door. Binoculars have become as necessary a part of my outdoor gear as a spare pair of eyeglasses, extra ammunition, two sharp knives, rope, a First Aid kit, backpack, extra socks and a warm sleeping bag. In my youth I hunted without binoculars and I’m pretty sure it cost me a couple of bucks and at least one elk. When I had to start wearing eyeglasses, I invested in binoculars. |

I kept pressure on the throttle as my 16-foot riveted jet boat pounded through swells that were building up against the wind on a 2-mile straightaway. If I let off, each successive wave impact was significant enough to rattle it loose, and I’d lose power. I quartered the flat-bottom into the waves that had been like glass only an hour earlier to keep them from breaking over the bow. The waves built along with my anticipation as I hurried toward the small slough where I was heading to sit on a bear bait. I’d been waiting two years to return and hunt this spot, and had no idea what to expect.

Congress this week sent the mammoth Fiscal Year 2021 omnibus spending bill to President Trump, and gun control advocates are celebrating the millions in appropriations it contains to fund their issues. The $1.4 trillion omnibus bill-- perched on a raft of another nearly $1 trillion in additional COVID relief pitched to fight the virus and aid suffering Americans-- includes spending taxpayer dollars to research "gun violence" as a health care issue, expand the database of those banned from legally possessing firearms, and encourage the use of controversial gun seizure orders on Veterans.

Introduced in 1970 as S&W's first stainless steel six-shot service revolver (more on that in a second), the Model 64 was itself an evolution of the venerable Model 10 Military & Police, a K-frame that was first introduced in 1899 chambered in .38 Long Colt before it settled down to its more commonly seen .38 Special format. With a swing-out cylinder, the M&P revolver was known by Smith as a "hand-ejector" model to differentiate it from the company's 19th Century top-break guns. |

Second Amendment rights, indeed all rights in the Bill of Rights, appear to be up for grabs in this election. The election results are hotly contested, especially the accuracy and dependability of Dominion voting systems. A number of reports are circulating around the internet, suggesting that Nevada Dominion vote-counting machines have produced similar results to those seen in an Antrim County Michigan forensic audit.
