One of the liberal, history-ignorant, concentration-camp mentalitied fools says:
"If we seriously intend to prevent this kind of violent trauma, better ways must be found to keep such an arsenal from landing in the hands of those might kill." ~~~~~ ANYONE "might" kill. This jerk wants to ban guns. C'mon and get mine, any time. |

A guy bought one handgun a week for 65 weeks from a dealer -- to sell them for twice as much to criminals. Wow. You'd think a dealer would start wondering after 5 or 6. |

"With a New Year's Eve deadline looming, as many gun owners have been rushing to fill out applications each week as filled out applications in all of 1999."
"We are turning out temporary licenses to the tune of 100,000 a week," said David Austin, spokesman here for the Canadian Firearms Center, a federal agency. By mid- December, 1.8 million Canadian gun owners, or roughly 80 percent of the total, were in compliance with the new license law, he estimated." ~~~ I doubt this many people are really complying. It's a lie to get more people to comply, if you ask me. |

QUOTES
TO REMEMBER |
For, in principle, there is no difference between a law prohibiting the wearing of concealed arms, and a law forbidding the wearing such as are exposed; and if the former be unconstitutional, the latter must be so likewise. But it should not be forgotten, that it is not only a part of the right that is secured by the constitution; it is the right entire and complete, as it existed at the adoption of the constitution; and if any portion of that right be impaired, immaterial how small the part may be, and immaterial the order of time at which it be done, it is equally forbidden by the constitution. [Bliss vs. Commonwealth, 12 Ky. (2 Litt.) 90, at 92, and 93, 13 Am. Dec. 251 (1822) |
