The gun business is booming as the rich and famous flock to Beverly Hills’ only gun store, Beverly Hills Guns, for protection from the craziness that has overtaken day-to-day life in Los Angeles.

Los Angeles Magazine reports, “Since opening in July 2020, the store has seen upscale residents from Santa Monica to the Hollywood Hills increasingly in a panic following several high-profile smash-and-grab and violent home invasion robberies.” {emphasis added}

There are three related bills worming their way through the Statehouse. House Bill 227 would allow people over 21 who are not prohibited federally or in Ohio from owning a gun to carry concealed firearms without a license or the required training. HB 227 also abolishes the obligation to inform law enforcement, when stopped and without being asked, that one is carrying a weapon. Senate Bill 215 is similar. House Bill 505 goes even further. It would permit the concealed carry of any deadly weapon, not just handguns.

Texas-based Bond Arms, best known for their Snake Slayer derringer among many other designs, recently announced a new release called the Stinger. This latest derringer is a leaner and more concealable interpretation of the company’s iconic, Remington 95-inspired designs. I’m one of the fortunate writers who had the chance for a hands-on look at an early run of Stingers, currently offered in 9mm Luger and 380 ACP. With one of each chambering in hand, it’s been a great way to get to know what will surely be the Stinger family of guns under the Bond flag.

Establishing a bond with a pocket pistol is similar to marriage in a way: You have to be willing to accept compromise. To make any compromise worth the effort, there must be a clear objective. In this case preserving your life is the goal, and pocket pistols, whether diminutive semi-automatics or small-frame revolvers, do their part and offer a solution that is easy to carry concealed.

These and other examples of the fallout from Missouri’s law declaring federal firearms restrictions null and void were outlined in a damning court brief last week by the U.S. Justice Department, which called the state law “a clear and substantial threat to public safety.”

It is. The Republican legislators who voted for this unconstitutional screed, and the governor who signed it, should publicly explain why they have abandoned the once-universal GOP principle of law and order.

West Virginia Attorney General Patrick Morrisey announced the publication of policy guidelines as mandated by a state law passed in early 2021.

The policy guidance concerns a new statute, HB 2694, which says no West Virginia law enforcement agency on any level shall participate in enforcement efforts focused on federal gun control measures when those laws conflict with state laws regarding firearms.

In 2019, Turner stirred controversy with Second Amendment Republicans after he announced his decision to back a bill that would bar “the sale of military-style weapons to civilians,” after a 2019 shooting in Dayton, Ohio.

LA County Sheriff Alejandro Villanueva told the New York Post that his department has received 8,105 concealed carry weapon applications and approved 2,102 of them since he entered office in December 2018, compared to his predecessor having issued 194 permits in four years.

While some of those numbers certainly include conservatives, Joel Glucksman, a private security executive, clarified that liberals have shelved their political beliefs out of concern for their safety when he told The Post: “Even hardcore leftist Democrats who said to me in the past, ‘I’ll never own a gun’ are calling me asking about firearms.”

Never Carry a Bullet in the Chamber to “Increase Your Survivability” – Says This Guy

The video I came across today was a YouTube Short he posted back on Nov. 2, 2021, promoting carrying a gun without a round in the chamber. His opinion is that carrying without a round in the chamber increases the survivability and safety of your family. But he doesn’t stay how it does that. He mentions that the time it takes to rack the slide is negligible.

So what happens if you have to use your gun in self-defense. And during the stress of this encounter, you draw your gun and either forget to rack your slide? What if you short-stroke the slide and fail to chamber a round?

As a staunch supporter of the Second Amendment, Doggett is committed to defending Tennessean’s right to self-defense and privacy. He sponsored the Second Amendment Privacy and Protection Act of 2021, which now prevents a state or local entity from creating a registry to track citizens who legally possess firearms in Tennessee. He also co-sponsored historic constitutional carry legislation which became effective July 1. The law removed undue barriers on law-abiding citizens who wish to exercise their Second Amendment right to carry a handgun while increasing penalties for criminals who steal guns or possess them illegally.

There have been attempts in the Utah Legislature to make responsible gun ownership not just a civic responsibility but also a legal obligation. Sadly, but not surprisingly, every attempt to mandate that gun owners secure their arms, or to make giving or lending a gun to someone who later uses in it the commission of a crime something that a person can be sued for, is rejected on the flawed argument that it would impinge on the rights of gun owners.

And you’re not going to see spectacular mob robs at Hy-Vee, because they aren’t selling high-value non-perishable goods with reslae value.

But maybe Hy-Vee is just trying to avoid the real cause for concern, violence committed by Second Amendment psychos and anti-mask cranks:

On January 3rd, 2022, the Denver City Council will vote on a bill to ban custom-made firearms, which are currently referred to as “ghost guns.” This means we only have a few days left to stop the City of Denver from infringing on law-abiding citizens’ Second Amendment rights. Please contact your City Council and respectfully ask them to OPPOSE the “ghost gun” ban.

While pretending to advocate on behalf of veterans and veterans’ issues, in reality, VoteVets operates in lockstep with other anti-gun groups funded by Bloomberg’s cash. To be clear, VoteVets advocates for more anti-gun laws and restrictions even though most veterans own guns and strongly support the Second Amendment.

While VoteVets does fund lobbying efforts, it is the group’s liberal public-issue campaigns – which are usually not fully disclosed or attributed – that the mainstream media laps up like hungry dogs.

My everyday carry is a Glock 17 in a Fobus retention holster. It was fitted with Glock factory tritium night sights when refurbished by a Glock armorer a few years ago. A spare magazine is carried in a narrow pants pocket. The ammunition is 115 grain Triton +P 9mm hollowpoints. When a need for more concealment than easily achieved with the Fobus arises, the deeper concealment pistol is a Smith & Wesson 337 Scandium revolver with a 3 1/8 inch barrel, adjustable sights, and Crimson Trace grips. Various holsters and concealment methods are used. It is rated for .38 Special +P loads. It is loaded with 125 grain Federal +P Nyclad hollowpoints. Spare ammunition is carried in two HKS speedloaders.

I clutched a white card with black letters in my hand, wanting to rip it to shreds.

“It’s supposed to be offensive!” my friend said, trying to calm me.

“I need a marker,” I insisted to the half-giggling, half-confused group of college students. Belatedly recognizing that it was neither my card nor my game, I asked permission to black out some of the lettering.

The game: Cards Against Humanity. The offending card: “AR-15, assault rifle.”

On Thursday, Fonte credited the office of District Attorney Michael McMahon for its professionalism and for presenting the facts of the case to the grand jury.

“The right to self defense has just been reaffirmed on Staten Island. An armed intruder entered my client’s residence Christmas morning and slashed my client’s face,” Fonte said. “He had every right to protect his wife, two small kids and himself. If self defense isn’t warranted here it would be a travesty.”

ME: Vigilantism is not heroic. It is dangerous.

The recent trial of Kyle Rittenhouse highlighted an increasingly frequent problem: vigilantism. We witnessed its threat to lives and property last January in the attack upon the Capitol, incited by the false claims of a rigged election by Donald Trump, former president turned vigilante-in-chief.
