... "Like most prags (poor henpecked Snowflake comes to mind) trying to pin them down on their own response to further assault on our traditional rights is like trying to nail jello to the wall. They will not give you a straight answer to the pertinent questions. This mercifully short answer to BigBrain's latest is my last until he feels like giving us a straight answer to the $64,000 question." ...

"'What will YOU do when the regime draws the line of 'legality' behind where you now stand?'"

"Specifically, if they seize control of all private intra-state sales through the 'Gun show loophole' will you comply?"

"Also, if they pass an 'AWB with teeth' will you hand in your now-proscribed semi-auto rifles and bolt actions of large calibers? Are you going to just roll over and hand them in? And if you claim that you won't, how will you resist?"

"Until BigBrain and his kind answer THOSE questions with yes or no answers, everything else they postulate is liquid excrement." ...

"Since Burress' pistol was unregistered in New York, he has been charged with two counts of second-degree criminal possession of a weapon in what prosecutors call 'a strong case.' In response, the city council of Kennesaw, GA unanimously passed a city ordinance in 1982 requiring heads of households to own at least one firearm with ammunition. The crime rate in Kennesaw at the time was already quite low ... but nonetheless, the crime rate dropped even lower (by 89%) after the ordinance was passed."

"Now that the Supreme Court has confirmed that the Second Amendment protects the individual citizen's right to own handguns, it's time for public officials to start prescribing a new antidote for gun crime: target violent criminals who actually misuse handguns, instead of passing scattershot laws with toxic side-effects like disarming victims, bullying honest gun owners, and demonizing firearms themselves."

"Unfortunately, a bill pending in the State Senate and up for committee vote 12/8 (S1774) is a bad dose of old medicine. It's a proposal to ration the Constitutional right of law-abiding citizens to own handguns beyond the existing regulatory thicket, which already slows exercise of those rights to a trickle. ..." ...

 QUOTES TO REMEMBER
In the end, more than freedom, they wanted security. They wanted a comfortable life, and they lost it all — security, comfort, and freedom. When the Athenians finally wanted not to give to society but for society to give to them, when the freedom they wished for most was freedom from responsibility then Athens ceased to be free and was never free again. — EDWARD GIBBON [On ancient Athens]
