After a lifetime of hunting for women’s hunting apparel ensemble, I have finally found a winning combination that allows me to be warm, functional and look like a woman. My latest mission to find suitable range and hunting gear began at the 2023 SHOT (Shooting, Hunting and Outdoor Trade) Show. I needed gear for a warm climate bear hunt, a cool- to- cold whitetail hunt, and everyday weather for the gun range. |

Republican lawmakers want to protect gun rights in Ohio, but police and prosecutors worry that proposed legislation will thwart partnerships they use to investigate gun crimes. House Bill 51 is billed as a way for conservatives to fight back against Democratic President Joe Biden's push for gun restrictions and to defend the Second Amendment. But police and prosecutors are concerned it will eliminate the cooperation they need to investigate gun crimes, and the changes would make Ohio less safe. |

When the Supreme Court of the United States (SCOTUS) released its decision last year in the landmark New York State Rifle & Pistol Association, Inc. v. Bruen case, anti-gun extremist organizations had a collective conniption fit. It was similar to the conniption fit they had when SCOTUS released its decision in District of Columbia v. Heller in 2008 and McDonald v. City of Chicago in 2010. |

Walther has upped the performance of its already popular PDP handgun series with two new guns to consider. The new optics-ready PDP Match Steel Frame and PDP Match Polymer Frame-- besides sharing the same Performance Duty Pistol lineage-- both have full-sized 5-inch barrels, Walther's Dynamic Performance Trigger, and lightening cuts to the slide. From there, they diverge by frame design with the more entry-level polymer variant having an MSRP of $1,099 while the steel frame has an ask of $1,899.

This year was one of the biggest ever for the National Rifle Association of America, and, as 2023 draws to a close, I want to highlight a few accomplishments. In February, the NRA Great American Outdoor Show, held at the Pennsylvania Farm Show Complex and Expo Center in Harrisburg, Pa., welcomed more than 200,000 attendees, an improvement over last year by approximately 35,000 people. |
