The Oklahoma City Police Department said charges have not been recommended for the person who stabbed and killed a 27-year-old man in northwest Oklahoma City on Tuesday morning.

Police were initially called to a home near the Kilpatrick Turnpike and Council Road for a welfare check. When they arrived on the scene, they believed that an accidental stabbing had occurred.

Investigators interviewed witnesses and people in the home, and they quickly learned that the incident was not accidental.

In a significant move to protect the U.S. Constitution, Senator Ted Cruz (R-Texas), alongside a coalition of senators and representatives, filed an amicus brief urging the Supreme Court to intervene in the case Smith & Wesson Brands, Inc. v. Estados Unidos Mexicanos. The case stems from a lawsuit by the Mexican government against U.S. firearms manufacturers, accusing them of responsibility for crimes committed by Mexican cartels. Senator Cruz and his allies argue that this lawsuit undermines American sovereignty and threatens the Second Amendment.

You’ve likely seen anti-gun advocates crowing over the recent Georgia court decision where a judge dismissed a lawsuit challenging Savannah’s ordinance imposing fines and potential jail time for citizens who leave firearms in unlocked cars.

In the action, gun owner Clarence Belt challenged the law because it violates the state’s firearms preemption law. And in fact, given the language of the state statute, it’s very likely that Belt’s assertion was accurate.

When you have a legendary gunmaker in business for half a millennium you would think they have some pretty cool guns on hand. You'd be right.

We recently visited Beretta's headquarters in Gardone Val Trompia, near Milan, Italy, to see what goes into making some of the most renowned firearms in the world. While we got a behind-the-scenes look at how the magic happens-- including how their custom Pietro Beretta Selection guns are crafted, we would be remiss if we didn't mention the incredible collection of historic guns on display on the campus.

Probably against their better judgment, they allowed the Guns.com crew access to the Beretta Private Collection for one golden hour.

A growing coalition of U.S. states and firearm advocacy groups is mounting a vigorous defense of American gun manufacturers against a lawsuit brought by the Mexican government. At the heart of the legal battle are accusations by Mexico that U.S. firearm companies are complicit in fueling gun violence across the border, claims that are patently laughable given the well-documented savagery of cartels with and without guns and widespread weakness and corruption at every level of the Mexican government.

Trial lawyers at the Saltz Mongeluzzi Bendesky law firm represent people who may have been injured or killed by Sig Sauer’s 9mm P320 handgun, which is in use by law enforcement, the public and several militaries including our own.

Saltz Mongeluzzi Bendesky, which calls itself SMB for short, is one of the nation’s leading law firms. SMB lawyers won $1.2 billion for a Surfside condo collapse, $75 million for a Philadelphia highway worker who was struck by a drunk driver and $101 million for the collapse of the Tropicana garage in 2003, which killed four construction workers and injured 30 more.

The so-called “21-Foot Rule” is a widely referenced but often misunderstood principle in law enforcement and self-defense training. Originally developed to provide clarity in high-stakes situations, it has sparked debates and misconceptions over the years.

In this article, we’ll explore insights from experts on this topic including Maxx Budiac of the USCCA, criminal defense attorney Tom Grieve, Dennis Tueller (the rule’s originator), Utah legal expert Ken Wallentine, and self-defense trainer Icy Mike. These unique perspectives reveal the complexity and evolving understanding of this principle.

On the second day of deliberations, the jury in the trial of the Marine veteran, Daniel Penny, requested to review key pieces of evidence, signaling that the defense’s claims of self-defense, or defense of others, may not have convinced the jurors. Meanwhile the defense complained to the judge about a protester who had called out insults at Mr. Penny, demanding to remove him from the courtroom.

While the United States is among the top nations for gun ownership, it won’t come as a surprise to learn the US isn’t alone in being heavily gun-focused. For better or worse, owning a gun is simply a fact of life in many nations and isn’t always for self-defense. With over 857 million civilian firearms worldwide, it’s unclear if the world can ever move away from guns.

Around a third (32%) of people who grew up in Chicago have carried a concealed firearm on the city streets at least once by the time they turn 40 years old, according to a major study of gun usage taking in a quarter of a century of data.

Urban sociologists behind the research argue that such carry rates are likely to be similar across many other major US cities.

The research suggests that almost half of men (48%) have carried a concealed gun by the age of 40, compared to just 16% of women.*

Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer has signed bills into law that make it illegal to openly carry guns at polling places, her office announced Tuesday.

Public Acts 157 and 158 prohibit people from openly carrying a firearm in a polling place or within 100 feet of an entrance to a polling place while voting is underway. And for 40 days leading up to an election — when people could be submitting their absentee ballots or voting absentee ballots in person at their local clerk’s office — the laws bar people from having a firearm in a local clerk’s office, within 100 feet of an entrance to a local clerk’s office or within 100 feet of an absentee ballot drop box.

A judge has thrown out a lawsuit by a Georgia gun owner who sought to challenge a Savannah city ordinance that imposes fines and potential jail time for people who leave firearms inside unlocked cars.

The ruling by Chatham County Superior Court Judge Benjamin Karpf did not address the civil lawsuit’s argument that the Savannah ordinance violates a Georgia state law that broadly prohibits local governments from regulating guns.

Montgomery police officers are not currently enforcing a law the city council recently established that requires people to carry photo identification to open-carry firearms in the city, Mayor Steven Reed confirmed Tuesday.

In September, shortly after the council created the law, a spokesman for Attorney General Steve Marshall's office said, in a statement, that the ordinance was not in compliance with state law.

“The Montgomery City Council’s ordinance related to firearms violates state law," a spokesman for the attorney general's office said in an email. "The Code of Alabama plainly states that the Legislature is the sole regulator of firearms and related matters."

Results in the Senate are much less impressive and very concerning. Bo Biteman (Senate President) and Tim Salazar (Senate Vice President) formed a questionable coalition with Tara Nethercott (Majority Floor Leader) to take control of the Wyoming Senate. This coalition was supported, and even publicly touted, by a questionable state gun group with ties to New York and a history of anti-gun positions.

Second Amendment supporters should be rightly concerned with this strange and unexpected leadership slate. Biteman and Salazar both voted against Wyoming’s historic Second Amendment Protection Act in 2022.

Texas GOP Sen. Ted Cruz, along with other Republican Congress members, filed an amicus brief in support of U.S. gun manufacturers, urging the Supreme Court “to uphold American Sovereignty and the Second Amendment.”

The case, Smith & Wesson Brands, Inc. v. Estados Unidos Mexicanos, stems from a lawsuit filed in 2021 by the Mexican government, in which the government alleged U.S. gun manufacturers, like Smith & Wesson, Ruger and others, should be liable for gun violence carried out by cartels south of the border, because the companies were allegedly aware their firearms were being trafficked into the country.

Smith & Wesson Model 2213 Pistol Review: Retro .22 LR Plinker

Brought to you by the legendary revolver maker Smith & Wesson, the rimfire Model 2213 chambered for .22 LR offers one of the most unique semi-auto plinking options of all time.

The Model 2213 shares some of the looks of the famed rimfire Model 41 that is still in production today. However, the internals are markedly different in the 2213. In fact, the Model 2213 and its relatives, like the Models 422, 2214, and 622, stand out from nearly every .22 handgun made over the last century.

Perhaps the most notable difference is the peculiar barrel placement, which has the barrel resting below the recoil spring. This feature has deep roots that go back to Smith & Wesson’s first-ever semi-auto pistol, the Model 1913.
