The Russian Avtomat Kalashnikova, otherwise known as the AK-47 to us capitalist dogs, is undoubtedly the most mass-produced rifle in the world. It fires the 7.62x39mm Soviet round that was developed shortly after the close of WWII and has remained relatively unchanged since its release. |

The Oregon Department of Justice is asking a district judge to temporarily block the permit-to-purchase requirement contained in recently passed Ballot Measure 114 (BM 114).
BM 114 is a multi-faceted gun control package that passed with 50.65 percent of the vote on November 8, 2022. The measure bans ammunition magazines holding more than ten rounds and requires Oregon residents to get a permit before being allowed to purchase a gun. |

How appropriate is it that “gaslighting” (“the act or practice of grossly misleading someone especially for one’s own advantage”) is Merriam Webster’s word of the year for 2022.
In May 2020, Canada’s Liberal Prime Minister Justin Trudeau unilaterally imposed, through Orders-in-Council, a ban on thousands of firearm models and variants arbitrarily classified as “assault weapons,” concurrent with a limited amnesty and implementation through confiscation (“buyback”). |

Several years ago, I was hired as a contract trainer to deliver a defensive tactics train-the-trainer (T3) program for a certain federal agency. At the end of a 40-hour training week, the recently trained instructors were allowed to ask any questions referencing the program. One of the questions was “Sir, we were presented with a number of different techniques throughout the week. Which is the one will work every time?” |

The Glock 42 has been around for nearly a decade, and many claim it’s still the best .380 self-defense pistol. It’s no surprise considering Glock has been manufacturing dependable firearms for many years. In the years since the release of the G42, the concealed carry pistol market has exploded with so many choices it can make your head spin. The majority of these are 9mm, leaving out the .380 shooters. Let’s examine why the G42 is still a fantastic option for concealed carry.

When I first saw the Desert Eagle in the box, I finally realized how massive it is! I have fired revolvers and other big handguns, but nothing compares to the heft of this beast. This is an unusual model fitted with a stainless steel 10-inch barrel giving it a long sight radius. Sights are adjustable for windage and elevation and the barrel is slotted for scope rings. This will allow a long-eye-relief scope to be mounted for precise shooting. Despite its size, it feels good in my hands. This gun seems to want to be fired.

Fox News is reporting that Oregon residents are “flocking to gun stores” as the Dec. 8 enactment of Measure 114 looms, and State Attorney General Ellen Rosenblum has asked the court to delay implementation of the purchase permit requirement for a month.
At least four federal lawsuits have been filed against Measure 114 including two involving the Second Amendment Foundation. The National Shooting Sports Foundation filed a third challenge, which is supported by the National Rifle Association, and the Oregon Firearms Federation filed one. All contend the measure is unconstitutional, a position that could be easier to prove in the wake of the Supreme Court’s Bruen ruling in June. |

There are few things in life that one can truly count on. Of course, there’s the old saying about death and taxes, and we know the sun will rise in the East and set in the West. But it’s getting to the point where you can guarantee that, when Joe Biden says anything about firearms, it will be either outrageous, a blatant lie, or just incomprehensible. |

An Oklahoma lawmaker introduced two bills in one week that would lower the age to purchase and carry guns and increase the required age for people to receive transgender health treatments. “You have, in the Constitution, specifically enumerated, your right to keep and bear arms,” Republican state Rep. Jim Olsen said. “If you were to ask the Founding Fathers, ‘Where is it in the Constitution that you can get gender reassignment surgery?’ I think they’d have had a very puzzled look on their faces.”
