"Now that the Socialists have taken over the government of the United States, they need to insure they can maintain their control and they cannot be sure of that as long as we citizens are armed. So they MUST relieve you and I of our firearms. Enter 'Blair Holt's Firearm Licensing and Record of Sale Act of 2009'."

"There's a better than even chance that you haven't heard about it. With the Mainstream Media in the United States comfortably ensconced in the pockets of the Democrats very little is being said, if anything, about the Blair Holt's Firearm Licensing and Record of Sale Act of 2009. ..."

"My son likes Hellstorm gloves
"The Hand Job"

"February 8, 2009: Over the past half century, new developments in fabrics (like Kevlar and fire resistant cloth) have led to the widespread use of "tactical gloves" by infantry. Hands are incredibly important, and very vulnerable to injury. The troops have realized that one of the many important jobs they have is to seek maximum protection for their hands."

"Also from strategypage.com we have this:"
"A Sweet Ride"

February 10, 2009: SOCOM (Special Operations Command) held a competition for a new rucksack and selected the Mystery Ranch TactiPlane. This device weighs ten pounds and holds 113 liters (6,900 cubic inches) in three compartments. Some 80 percent of that is in the main compartment, with the smaller compartments above and below holding ten percent each. The TactiPlane was designed to be worn comfortably with body armor, using a small pad for the lower back, to aid in doing that comfortably. When worn without body armor, the TactiPlane allows for ventilation between back and pack." ...

"I sing of arms and the campus."

"As a poet and professor of English/Creative Writing, I can imagine it now: the cold sheen of gunmetal gleaming beneath my desk, the carefully-stacked deadly stockpile of weapons at my feet. The AK7 and the Uzi, the semi-automatic assault rifles."

"Before I pass around the roll sheet, I pat my live ammo belt, that lifebuoy of bullets slung around my waist. The students adjust their shoulder and hip holsters. Class begins."

One of the hardest things to deal with in the current economic depression is the disgusting hypocrisy of the U.S. congress, the new president, and the members of the Federal Reserve System. It is one thing to be told, as we all are, that we must hand over fat wads of our hard-earned money to these warmongering and thieving snakes or face jail terms, but one feels a whole new level of revulsion when these people make statements to the effect that they, and they alone, are in a position to 'save the economy' by 'creating jobs.' ..." ...

"One of the major issues we have to deal with when it comes to the most fanatical gun control advocates is countering their distorted sense of reality. The problem is further complicated when they are able to instill those beliefs on people who are prepared to accept those arguments at face value due to their judgment being impaired by emotional manipulation."

"'House Bill 687...would force all of those individuals to obtain a $1 million liability insurance policy. This policy would cover any damages that take place from the use of a firearm owned by the individual.

"'The bill also authorizes the Department of the State Police to revoke and seize the identification card from any firearm owner that does not supply proof of the liability coverage to the Department.'"

"So he's got you! If you abide by the state's restrictive firearms laws and this passes, you'll either need to be able to pony up for coverage, or lose the means to defend yourself and your loved ones in your own home. If you can't afford it, too bad."

"Part three of the 'Phony gun groups' series will examine how the 'American Hunters and Shooters Association' (AHSA) represents the most sophisticated effort to date by gun control organizations seeking to divide and neutralize the impact of gun-owning voters on elections."

"As previously noted, losses by anti-gun politicians in the 1994 and 2000 elections induced gun control advocates to adopt a new strategy of camouflaging both their organizations and the politicians they support. While early efforts by 'Americans for Gun Safety' (AGS) to claim a 'third way' in the gun debate were relatively crude, they led to more sophisticated efforts by the 'Union Sportsman’s Alliance' and, more importantly, AHSA, to deceive gun-owning voters." ...

"In several states, one of the fronts on which the battle between gun rights and citizen disarmament is being waged is over the right of worshippers to carry a defensive firearm in church. For me, the controversy is a little difficult to understand--why should going to church necessitate surrendering the ability to defend oneself and one's family? Churches may be sanctuaries, but going to one is clearly no certain defense against people bent on evil--with the killings at the Tennessee Valley Unitarian Universalist Church last summer being just one example."

"Students and faculty should be allowed to carry concealed guns on college campuses, according to some students."

"In the aftermath of the 2007 Virginia Tech shootings, the nationwide campaign to overturn laws banning concealed weapons on college campuses intensified."

"Students for Concealed Carry on Campus, a national organization conceived the day after the Virginia Tech massacre, has reached a membership of over 35,000 members across the country."

"SCCC President Michael Guzman, a senior at the University of Texas, said the organization does not promote increased access to guns. Rather, the organization feels people who are already certified and licensed to own a firearm should be able to bring it onto campus grounds." ...

KABA Note: Ms. Lee displays her bias right away, in the opening paragraph. According to her, SCCC wants any student and any faculty member, regardless of criminal historyor mental health, to be able to carry a concealed gun on campus. It is not until the fourth paragraph that we learn the truth.
