"When thinking about the mass extermination camps of a holocaust think…"

"The key to freedom is to be able to have the ability to defend yourself, and if you dont have the tools to do that, then youre going to be at the mercy of whomever wants to put you away."

"Guns are deeply rooted within Swiss culture – but the gun crime rate is so low that statistics are not even kept."

"The country has a population of six million, but there are estimated to be at least two million publicly-owned firearms, including about 600,000 automatic rifles and 500,000 pistols."

"This is in a very large part due to Switzerland’s unique system of national defence, developed over the centuries." ...

"Maurice Clemmons was a convicted felon, ineligible to legally possess, much less own a firearm of any kind, yet he had two – including one that was stolen in Seattle about three years ago – when he walked into the Forza coffee shop in Parkland in November and murdered four Lakewood police officers."

"What these completely unrelated cases demonstrate is the complete impotency of gun control laws that were passed at state and federal levels with a sales pitch that they would prevent such crimes as campus shootings and wanton murder by monsters like Clemmons." ...

"This is a great presentation on the Second Amendment from Jews for the Preservation of Firearms Ownership."

"The Second Amendment wasn’t recognized as a fundamental right because the founders believed we should be able to hunt (though we should). Though this was certainly a part of their recognition, it wasn’t even quite so much that they believed in the inalienable right to self defense (though they did and we should)."

"On February 22, a new law on guns in national parks takes effect. The law repeals a National Park Service rule that has long prohibited Americans from lawfully possessing firearms in national parks for self-defense."

"The new law, passed last spring by an overwhelming bipartisan vote in the U.S. Senate, will allow people to possess, carry and transport firearms in national parks, in accordance with state law."

"However, many details remain to be worked out. Reports indicate that National Park Service officials are debating issues such as the definition of 'federal facilities,' where firearms will remain prohibited under a different federal law." ...

It seems that in California, where some gun owners' civil rights activists are demonstrating for freedom to get concealed carry permits by open-carrying unloaded handguns in public, a chain of upscale coffee shops called Peet’s banned the practice. The open carry advocates moved to a local Starbucks, which welcomed them and their guns ... All RIGHT!"

FULL TEXT BELOW:

Earlier this month a resolution was introduced in the Albany County Legislature that would provide an additional $10,000 for the County's handgun buyback program. This program accepts handguns in exchange for $150 gift certificates to local malls. The New York State Rifle & Pistol Association opposes this expenditure. Handgun buyback programs have never been shown to have a significant effect on crime. The handguns turned in are typically old and, in some cases, inoperable. They have never been – and never will be – crime guns. In these difficult economic times there is surely a better use for $10,000 than to fund the destruction of doorstops and paperweights.

Why would anyone believe the folks at National Wildlife Health Center and the environmental groups when they apparently don’t realize the intelligence of wildlife ("Spent ammo's harm to environment is debated," Feb. 11)?

Birds are very particular about what they eat. Different species of birds eat certain seeds, grains, worms, breads, etc. Think about it — common sense would tell them that if birds or other wildlife ate the lead pellets, there wouldn’t be lead pellets lying around. Plus, birds would have to walk everywhere they went, they would be too heavy to fly.

Seriously folks, apparently this is another political way to attack owners of firearms and our Second Amendment rights.
