KABA Note: But according to The Brady Bunch the system is hugely successful. "Since 1994 [through 2009], the Brady Law has stopped over 1.9 million criminals and other prohibited people from purchasing firearms from licensed dealers". Of course they count every NICS denial as a 'stopped criminal purchase'.

KABA Note: Hey Mr. Prosecutor, over 100 years ago (1894) the Supreme Court ruled in Thompson v. United States that arming oneself for self-defense does not constitute premeditation. Mr. Pujols was found not guilty of all charges save involuntary manslaughter.
