Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau Tuesday called for sweeping measures, amendments to an existing gun control law, that would permit municipalities to ban handguns and institute a new federal buy-back program. "You can’t fight gun violence or any violence on just one front," Trudeau said during a press conference. "You can’t fight it without addressing its root causes."

Senator Ram Villivalam and Representative Kathleen Willis will file legislation this year to increase the cost and red tape required to obtain a FOID after the effort failed last session. While bill numbers are not yet available, the scheme is deceptively named “Fix the FOID.” Please contact your lawmakers and ask them to OPPOSE this so-called “Fix the FOID.” |

Perusing the F.I.R.E. Expo in Florida, we came across SCCY’s display of the new DVG-1 pistol, which was released in 2020. Both their well-known CPX-2 and the newer DVG-1 are compact carry guns edging on the side of micro. They’re also available at affordable price points and come in optics-ready options, but the newer DVG-1 has some advantages for concealed carry. |

Two Wyoming bills could change the legal age to hunt in Wyoming. Like many states, current law requires hunters to be 12 years old; however, if approved, House Bill 84 and House Bill 115 would modify the current Wyoming State Statute 23-2-102 to allow for “two exceptions permitting younger hunters,” The Sheridan Press reports.

One of the common complaints when it comes to shotguns and home defense is capacity. A shotgun might hold as few as 5 or 6 shells, while other long guns, like an AR-15, normally have at least 28 rounds on board. That is over 4 times the capacity of a shotgun. So surely, this argument isn’t wrong. Or is it? |
