"States have been relaxing gun laws for several years now with no blood in the streets, but there is still one big area needing to be addressed. Legal concealed and open carry should extend to all federal buildings except for secured areas. We see all the time congress exempting themselves from laws that apply to the rest of us. Congressmen don't have to mess with Social Security or Medicare. They have their own systems. Until recently, they exempted themselves from onerous work rules and OSHA regulations in their own back yard such as the printshops for the Federal Register. "Vickie Jordan and her husband, Eddie, were all set to open a gun store in Smithfield, but they were missing one thing: the name. 'I went to bed one night and was real apprehensive because we couldn't come up with a name,' Vickie Jordan recalled."
"When she finally got to sleep, she said, she dreamt that God told her to name it after the Second Amendment -- the Constitutional right to bear arms -- but to call it the Second Amen-ment Gun Shop."
"'I said, 'All right, Lord, I get the picture,' Vickie Jordan said."

QUOTES
TO REMEMBER |
Besides the advantage of being armed, which the Americans possess over the people of almost every other nation, the existence of subordinate governments, to which the people are attached, and by which the militia officers are appointed, forms a barrier against the enterprises of ambition, more insurmountable than any which a simple government of any form can admit of. Notwithstanding the military establishments in the several kingdoms of Europe, which are carried as far as the public resources will bear, the governments are afraid to trust the people with arms. — James Madison, The Federalist Papers, No. 46 |
