"Thanks to a reader, I have copies of emails from an ATF agent who was forwarded the CNN transcript. The email from the ATF agent says:"

"'I have forwarded this to the Houston office. There is no straw purchase since the transaction does not involve a licensed dealer. However the owner did sell a firearm to a non-resident of Texas which is a violation of 18 U.S.C. 922(a)(5).'"

A recent article by the Associated Press brought attention to a group of approximately 500 civilians who have taken it upon themselves to assist law enforcement in protecting the Arizona-Mexico border. In the meantime, the federal government has failed to provide the necessary resources to control the border often claiming that there just aren't enough resources to do the job."

"Instead of legislators taking their time to try and take various firearms away from honest gun owners, why don't they use that time to insure proper measures that would prevent children from using video games and CDs that promote just about every type of gun violence and mayhem imaginable? Why don't they make more laws protecting children from pedophiles that destroy their lives forever? And better yet, why don't they enforce the existing laws? We have enough of them, including gun laws!" ...
