Introduced in 1980, the 9x21mm IMI was a creation between the Franco Benvenuti agency of Italy and Israel Military Industries (IMI). Many countries, including Italy and most of the European Union, have banned the use of all military ammunition, such as the 9mm Parabellum. In order to circumvent gun control measures, the collaborative effort to create a substitute ammunition was seen as a good resolution and would allow civilians to own and use a powerful cartridge without fear of repercussions. |

On Monday, February 24, 2020, the New Jersey Senate Law and Public Safety Committee is scheduled to hear the following legislation: S120 (increases penalties for leaving firearms within access of a minor). This bill has been around for several years. It creates serious criminal penalties for gun owners if firearms are left within access of a minor and the minor causes death, serious bodily injury, or bodily injury with the firearm. Based on testimony given by ANJRPC and NRA several years ago, this legislation has now been amended to add an exception to these penalties if the minor obtained the firearm for self-protection. |

A county in Utah has shot down the idea of more gun control by becoming the first county in the state to declare itself a Second Amendment sanctuary. The three-member Uintah County Commission voted unanimously to pass an ordinance making the county a stronghold that refuses to comply with federal or state laws on firearms that county leaders deem unconstitutional. |

Mike Bloomberg has said and done many things that are laughable and point to a high degree of hypocrisy. Permit me now to home in on one nugget of how Mini-Mike thinks, to show how delusional and out of touch he is. It came out in an interview that the billionaire gave the day after his pathetic debate performance in Nevada. At that time, Bloomberg tried to shift the focus from what happened the night before to President Trump by saying: "We all know that Trump is a bully. But I say, I'm a New Yorker, and I know how to deal with bullies. I did it all the time."

When Braeleigh Miller, 8, took her first elk in Michigan last December, she had no idea the hunt would make the record books. With a 202-yard shot on a 400-pound cow elk, Braeleigh officially became the youngest hunter in Michigan history to kill an elk. Braeleigh was hunting with her dad, Gunnar, and her grandpa through the state's mentor program and, with help from a guide, found elk in a field on opening morning. |

Waynesboro Borough Council, along with a standing-room-only crowd, recently listened to a presentation by Val Finnell, Pennsylvania director for Gun Owners of America, that detailed a proposal for the borough to consider becoming a Second Amendment sanctuary. Finnell asked the borough to pass an ordinance that would designate Waynesboro as a Second Amendment sanctuary, which the Gun Owners of America (GOA) claims will protect citizens from the enforcement of gun control measures that violate the Second Amendment.

There are many shooting positions which may be used for firing a pistol, some of which are specific to certain shooting disciplines. Even before any shooting positions can be introduced, the new pistol shooter must know how to assume a proper one- or two-handed grip. |

I hate resorting trite gnomes like “the fight for gun rights never stops” because they’re terribly mawkish, but that doesn’t mean there isn’t an element of truth there. At this moment, a number of states are proposing or considering anti-gun legislation and for all the usual reasons based on ignorance, misguided thinking, or the sheer arrogance of those who believe they really are acting in the name of the “collective good.” Some of the greatest evils are carried out by those who believe they know what’s best for everyone. |

At its next meeting, the Rockingham County Board of Supervisors will consider a request to pass a resolution to form an unorganized militia. The idea of unorganized militias have been gaining steam across Virginia as a next step to second amendment sanctuaries. According to the proposed resolution, it would consist of able-bodied citizens 16 years old to 55. These volunteers would assist in the event of an emergency, and provide services like first aid, as well as food and medical supply delivery. |
