#6 lead shot is pretty much dead center when it comes to weight, number of projectiles, and diameter of your bird shot. This particular shot, as “bird shot” implies, is for birds of various sizes, but leans more toward large game birds. Turkey, grouse, chukker, partridge and ducks are going to be your prey here, and you won’t find a more versatile shot around. You can easily choose from different shell lengths for added pellets and spread – giving you roughly 35 yards of almost guaranteed killing range on a large turkey and about 45 yards on smaller birds when used in a 12 gauge shotgun. |

Dieter Wiess had been an auto mechanic in Frankfurt before the world ended. The Soviets swarmed across the border just after midnight on a Thursday in February of 1974, literally paving the way with tactical nuclear strikes on communications and logistics nodes in his hometown. His being out of Frankfurt on holiday was the only reason he had survived. Everybody he cared about died in the fireball. |

NRA has alerted our members and supporters of our strong support of House Bill 39 and Senate Bill 47, bills that will provide a lifetime option to Alabama’s concealed carry permit holders. These pro-gun measures will give YOU the choice of which permit option is best for your self-defense needs. Unfortunately, from day one the Alabama Sheriffs Association (ASA) has opposed these bills, including individual sheriffs from all over the state, and now Representative Shane Stringer has introduced HB 308 as an “alternative” to kill HB 39 and SB 47. Please click the “Take Action” button below to contact your state Representative and ask them to OPPOSE HB 308 and SUPPORT HB 39 and SB 47. |

The leader of a gun-control group decried efforts to sell firearms to minorities and women as "incredibly dangerous" on Monday. "Gun makers are softening their image to ‘put a better face in front of people' & ‘ramp up its appeal to women, children and members of minority groups,'" Igor Volsky, executive director of gun-control activist group Guns Down America, said in a tweet. Volsky, who is also a former vice president of the Center for American Progress, was commenting on a New York Times story about firearms marketing. |

A group of gun control advocates gathered Tuesday at the State Capitol, bringing cookies instead of guns to show their support for a proposed "red-flag" law in Nebraska. The gathering, of about 40 people wearing red T-shirts, was a smaller and less raucous event than on Friday, when more than 400 gun rights backers crowded hearing rooms and the halls of the Capitol to voice opposition to gun control proposals. |

Everybody doesn’t like something, but, it seems, nobody doesn’t like the “John Wick” movie franchise. That’s certainly a point made by the total $500 million in box office sales the three films have made. For action fans, gun enthusiasts, wannabe machos, even those who hate anything that goes bang in the night or day, the John Wick movies, all starring a 50-something Keanu Reeves and directed by former stuntman Chad Stahelski, offer a journey through a silky-night world full of preposterous storylines, improbable kung-fu fights and blazing shootouts. |

During a Monday night town hall with CNN, Sen. Bernie Sanders (D-VT) was asked what he would do to prevent another mass shooting, like what took place at the Emanuel African Methodist Episcopal Church in Charleston in 2015. Sanders raddled off the typical anti-gun talking points of passing universal background checks, ending the "gun show loophole" and banning so-called "assault weapons." He did, however, create a new gun control argument that is totally false: the idea that a "strawman provision" takes place.

Livingston County commissioners voted 6-0 to pass a Second Amendment sanctuary resolution Monday evening, making Livingston a sanctuary county.
"This sends a clear message to the state that Livingston County, all the patriots here, will not tolerate any infringement on our second amendment," said Mike Detmer, candidate for U.S. congress, 8th district Michigan.
There was debate over this resolution in recent weeks, where residents argued for and against the resolution, which would limit what law enforcement can enforce when it comes to guns. |

Earlier this month in the basement of a Baptist church in the Cincinnati suburb of Roselawn, nearly 180 women gathered to talk about gun safety, self-defense and the Second Amendment, but you didn’t see anyone from the gun control crowd lauding this effort.
According to the Cincinnati Enquirer, the New Prospect Baptist Church “is home to one of the largest black congregations in Cincinnati.” Alerted to the event, 200 women signed up for the event, the newspaper reported, and 179 actually showed up despite a morning snow that made driving conditions tricky. |
