"When Niki Jones, a longtime New Yorker relocated to Austin, Texas, needed a group to practice using her new concealed-carry weapon with, she was shocked that she couldn’t find a woman-friendly league. So in July 2010 she founded Austin Sure Shots, a free, women-only gun club focused on target shooting. Soon their ranks swelled to almost 300; a local firm of current and former military and police firearms instructors took the women under their tutelage, teaching them defensive shooting. After learning to shoot semi-automatic AR-15 style rifles, a dozen of the women decided to make custom versions of the gun. Niki had her AR-15 railed handguard coated white and named the gun 'Snow Queen.' ..." ... |

"So listen, Eric and Paul. It might be that you are listening to the 'polls' in your support for universal background checks. But I assure you, America is voting with it’s pocketbook. The vote is overwhelming, and it is fixed. We won’t change our minds. You need to get with the popular crowd and drop the support for gun control as fast as you can." ... |

"For once I agree with liberals. It's high time to have a conversation about guns. Let's start with the problem that there are far too few guns on our streets."
"Wait, we can't have that conversation. In fact, we're not supposed to have what people might commonly describe as a 'conversation' at all. We're supposed to shut-up and listen as liberals, barely masking their unseemly delight at the opportunity, try to pin the murder rampage of one degenerate creep on millions of law-abiding Americans who did nothing wrong. The conversation is then supposed to end with us waiving our fundamental right to self-defense." ... |

"Earlier this week Bob Owens suggested one common sense gun law that stands out from the standard fare of limiting magazine capacities, banning certain firearms or features and in general making it harder for regular people to access firearms. He proposed that we end the regulation of silencers and the restrictions on their ownership."
"He isn’t the first person or even company to suggest this. Silencers have a negative reputation as a tool of killers and assassins by removing the characteristic report of shooting."
"That notion is pure fiction. Silencers—or suppressors, moderators, mufflers or which ever term you prefer—hardly make guns quiet. They simply make them less dangerously loud. ..." ... |

"When The People of the Gun contemplate criminals and crazies it reaffirms their belief that they need firearms to protect themselves and their families from evil. Anything that reduces that ability is A) dangerous and B) unconstitutional. When gun control advocates (and plenty of just plain folks) hear about a crime—especially one involving a gun—it reaffirms their belief that guns are too dangerous to allow 'in the wild.' They believe civilian disarmament’s best for A) them and B) society. Bottom line: there is no middle ground. As we saw today in California, the battle lines have been drawn. This is going to get real ugly real fast. Meanwhile, more news from the front . . ." ... |
