"Following the Federal Convention of 1787 and the subsequent ratification of the Constitution, the several States began submitting amendments to Congress for consideration. By September of 1789, Congress had reduced 210 separate amendments to 12. The amendments were inserted into a congressional resolution and submitted to the several States for consideration. "'Physicians have been so involved in their practice and taking care of their patients that we have not been paying attention to all that has been going on,' said Dr. Anne O. Wilhite, a Richmond-area anesthesiologist who was at the assembly recently."

"One of Wilhite's goals that day was to persuade legislators to kill House Bill 1531, legislation that sought to limit what doctors can say to patients about gun safety."

FULL TEXT BELOW: A 15-year-old vocational student is accused of bringing a BB gun, razor blade, and live rounds of ammunition to school. Greensburg state police said the student brought the items to Central Westmoreland Career and Technology Center in New Stanton on Wednesday. The boy is currently in the Westmoreland County Regional Youth Services Center, pending a hearing.
