City officials have voted down an attempt to make Ellsworth a Second Amendment Sanctuary.
On Monday, residents met with Ellsworth city officials to show support for the second amendment. According to Fox Bangor, city council member Michelle Kaplan requested debate over whether the city should become a Second Amendment Sanctuary. Kaplan said, "It would just mean that Ellsworth police would not go door to door confiscating weapons that the federal government deems as unlawful and that itself is actually protected by the commerce clause.” The resolution was voted down by a 6-1 vote.

A crowd of two dozen or so supporters of Second Amendment rights gathered outside the Moore County Historic Courthouse on Tuesday evening. Waving flags and banners they garnered some appreciative horn toots from passing motorists.
Meanwhile, on the second floor of the building, the Board of County Commissioners conducted a regular business meeting that did not include any gun-related agenda items; however, several people spoke during public comment on a variety of politically-charged issues from gun control measures to mask mandates to concerns that First Amendment rights are at-risk of being trampled.

These are indeed great days for shooters! Guns are more accurate, many are less expensive, and we have a plethora of aftermarket sights from which to choose. The micro red dot sight is among the most popular with shooters today. It only makes sense for manufacturers to offer guns ready, willing and able to mount these red dot wonders. |

President Joe Biden has quickly made himself known as the “executive action” president, signing more executive orders in his first month than any other modern-day president; however, as this was being written, he’d yet to try to force upon America the anti-gun agenda his campaign website outlined.

On Thursday, the New Hampshire Senate is expected to vote on pro-gun legislation, Senate Bill 141. Please contact your State Senator and ask them to SUPPORT Senate Bill 141. Senate Bill 141 resolves New Hampshire’s longstanding problem with delays during handgun purchases, by abolishing the “state gun line” system that the State Police currently use for handgun purchases. Instead, the process for purchasing a handgun will now mirror buying a long gun, which goes through the National Instant Criminal Background Check System (NICS).

It is bad enough that Democrats are in the majority, owning the White House, the House, and the Senate with Kamala Harris being the majority vote on all legislation before this third governmental body. Adding insult to conservative injury is the resolute behavior of those Republicans in Name Only (RINOs) to rid any remembrance of what our nation benefitted from during the past four years. |

The West Virginia House of Delegates is considering a bill that would allow teachers and other school employees to have concealed carry weapons in the classroom. Teachers in kindergarten through 12th grade could apply to their superintendent for permission to become a School Protection Officer. They could then begin a Department of Homeland Security and Sheriff’s Department training process to get certified to have a gun, pepper spay or other allowed protective weapon in school. |

House Bill 2588 is to protect students and teachers if there is an active shooter in the building.
This bill was first introduced on January 21st and has already been passed in the house and been read in the Senate.
If it passes, the new law would allow the school district to decide if they would want their teachers to carry, and if so, then they would have to meet training guidelines to do so. |

Eliphalet Remington founded E. Remington & Sons in 1816 in Ilion, New York. He began with a simple idea that has driven countless American entrepreneurs: Sure, there was no shortage of flintlock rifles on the market. However, Remington believed he could do it better. To that end, he built himself a flintlock rifle for a shooting competition. At the age of 23, Remington didn’t win gold, but he did take the silver. |
