Popular whether you’re looking at a full-size pistol, a micro-compact carry gun, or anything in between, you can’t go wrong when choosing a striker-fired pistol. Unlike a hammer-fired pistol, a striker-fired pistol uses a spring-loaded striker to hit the cartridge primer to make the gun fire instead of a hammer hitting the firing pin.

Recent news described how violent the New York City subways really are. This brought to mind the recent discussions in front of the US Supreme court.

The police can't keep us safe. We can’t ask judges to solve our daily problems when reality is just a theory to them.

Whether one supported or voted against Donald Trump in 2020, he almost invariably did something during his speeches it’s unlikely will be repeated by Joe Biden during Tuesday evening’s State of The Union address, described by Fox News as “the most consequential speech of his life.”

Biden won’t likely be promising to protect the Second Amendment from the gun prohibition lobby, which is lauding the Delaware Democrat with an email blast early Tuesday declaring, “During his first year in office, President Biden has taken historical actions on gun safety.

Do Gun Makers Send Cherry Picked Firearms and Ammo to Gun Writers?

For gun writers like me the opportunity to get early looks at the latest rifles, handguns, and shotguns and talk about them is one of the best perks of the job. When those reviews are posted there’s an invariable torrent of feedback. One recurring comment from skeptical readers—especially if the review is positive—is that while such-and-such firearm might be good, it was probably cherry picked for the gun writer. Sometimes the same is said of the ammunition I test. The implication being that the rifles, handguns, shotguns, and ammo shipped to your local Cabela’s, Sportsman’s Warehouse, or mom-and-pop gun store are somehow inferior to what the gun media reviews.

President Joe Biden renewed his call for the banning of assault weapons and high-capacity magazines in his State of the Union address. "I ask Congress to pass proven measures to reduce gun violence," Biden said during his first official State of the Union Address on Tuesday night. "Pass universal background checks. Why should anyone on a terrorist list be able to purchase a weapon? Ban assault weapons and high-capacity magazines."

In the mid to late 19th century, in an era before the invention of swing-out cylinders on revolvers, the top-break revolver made quite the splash. Faster and easier to load and unload than guns like the Colt Single Action Army, which had a singular loading gate, top-break guns could be accessed with the quick flick of a lever.

February 18 is a date that should be burned into the memory of Second Amendment supporters. It’s a reminder of what can be at stake in the fight for our Second Amendment rights, and we should also note the reactions to it. You don’t see a lot of praise from anti-Second Amendment extremists in office for Trudeau’s actions against the protestors in Ottawa. That’s not the concern.

In a market filled with custom and high-performance AR-15 rifles, the M&P15 line offers shooters a quality and classic AR that’s range ready for almost all your shooting needs without the hype or expense of extra high-end features. Sure, they are pretty much as basic as you can make an AR-15, but sometimes basic is better. That might explain why Smith & Wesson’s M&P15 is a dominating seller every single month here at Guns.com. If you’re not looking for a bunch of marketing bells and whistles filled with high-speed, low-drag extras that few shooters ever really use, then the M&P15 should be a welcome breath of fresh air.
