That’s why it was surprising — and a relief — when Governor Dennis Daugaard used common sense in vetoing a law passed by the South Dakota State Legislature which would have allowed virtually anyone who had a South Dakota driver’s license to keep a concealed weapon. On Monday, the South Dakota State Senate rightfully upheld the governor’s veto — a new law wasn’t needed."
