"In his best-selling classic, More Guns, Less Crime, John R. Lott, Jr., proved that guns make us safer. Now, in his stunning new book, The Bias against Guns, Lott shows how liberals bury pro-gun facts out of sheer bias against the truth."

"With irrefutable evidence, Lott shoots gun critics down and gives you the information you need to win arguments with those who want to ban guns."

"Yet because he is a Jew, he was attacked by a group of other children, mostly Muslim, at the private Catholic school he then attended. They dragged him into the school's locker room showers shouting that they were going to gas him as the Nazis had gassed Jews. He was beaten and flogged with a pair of trousers whose zipper scratched one of his corneas." ...

"When Jérémy broke free from his tormentors in the shower, he ran for help to the teacher's lounge but none of the faculty rose from their chairs to help the disheveled and distraught boy."

...schools [say] they cannot protect [Jewish] children from harassment and advised that they change schools...

A disarmed Jewish populace and growing anti-Semitism. Sound familiar?

"The N.A.A.C.P contends in the suit, filed in 1999, that its members have been disproportionately injured by gun makers and dealers, and claims that their distribution policies permit guns to be channeled to criminals. More than 80 manufacturers and distributors, including all the major companies, are defendants."

" 'It's going to be the first time the manufacturers are going to have to face the full array of the proof against them,' said David Kairys, a professor at Temple University Law School in Philadelphia who is an adviser to many municipalities in other gun cases around the country."

If you can't win a case on merit, just sue, sue, sue until they run out of money to defend themselves against these onslaughts. This is what these suits are really about.

Last week the Plain Dealer printed three letters to the editor about a misleading article their staff wrote. (2 pro, 1 fell for it). This week they've printed three more letters to the editors about concealed carry. (2 pro, 1 fell for it).

In an effort to get businesses opposed to concealed carry reform, the anti-gunners are trying to convince businesses to fight. They're clearly running out of issues to fight with. These responses are great.

"Whether it's an increased sense of patriotism, fear for one's safety or a combination of the two, experts say events such as the war in Iraq and the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks can lead to a surge in one of America's most controversial Constitutional rights - gun ownership."

" 'People feel a need for self-protection,' said Patrick Nolan, a gun advocate and sociology professor at the University of South Carolina. 'In difficult times, the basic right that comes to the forefront is the right of self-defense. Handguns, firearms and other technology can make that possible. Firearms can be a great equalizer.' "

"Tom Mauser, who lost his son in the 1999 Columbine shootings, said the two bills will put more guns on the streets and, according to his view of the universe, will lead to more social insanity and increased violence and death. Mauser, I believe, harbors an unhealthy ax to grind with gun owners. (The parents of the adolescents who did the shooting, incidentally, have managed to avoid the wrath of Mr. Mauser and the Denver community in general.)"

"The bill, S. 476, called the 'Faith-based Initiative' has two insidious sections, 106 and 107, that call for a 25% tax cut on capital gains of land sales, but only if the land is sold to an 'environmental group' or a government agency."
