The request, filed March 18 by Assistant Attorney General Samuel Williams and Natrona County Assistant District Attorney Kevin Taheri, states that Judge Catherine Wilking misapplied the law in ruling that Jason T. John acted in self-defense by shooting Wesley Willow. The state’s attorneys also asked the Wyoming Supreme Court to determine whether courts are legally entitled to dismiss cases on the basis of the law’s immunity provision and, if so, by what procedure and standard.

We’re proud to call Oregon our home. We appreciate that Oregonians don’t quite follow the same footsteps as others. That’s why the firearms we make at Radian Weapons aren’t ordinary. They’re the very best we can make from Oregon, by Oregonians. Imagine our surprise when we learn our lawmakers in Salem are following other states in considering legislation to ban entire classes of rifles and ammunition magazines. We’re told this will reduce the criminal misuse of guns. We have a different view.

Precious Spencer had only been on the job for a couple of days when she described how one of her managers used a gun to fend off the "medieval" robbers, Fox 6 reported.Spencer said one of the men was holding a short sword and the other was holding a long one. She says the manager decided to get involved to prevent anyone from getting hurt.

Requiring all private firearm sales in Massachusetts to take place in a federally licensed gun store — and be run through the shop’s background check system — would close a “dangerous loophole” in current laws, a Natick lawmaker said Tuesday. State Representative David Linsky, a Democrat, said that while a 2014 state law created an online portal for conducting the required background checks for private gun transfers, federal law restricts private sellers from also accessing the National Instant Criminal Background Check System. |

This month New Zealand experienced a horrible white supremacy terror attack that killed 50 people. In the wake of that tragedy their government is skipping the “thoughts and prayers” portion of the Stages of Mass Shooting and going straight into banning “military-style semiautomatic weapons.” Their neighbor, Australia, passed similar measures after the Port Arthur Massacre In 1996, and the country has not had a mass shooting since.

Pennridge High School in Bucks County will become the latest school in the area to hire armed police officers. The school board voted 8 to 1 in favor of hiring two armed officers on Monday night. The vote comes in the wake of a rash of school shootings across the country, including the massacre in Parkland, Florida. "It would be reckless for me to ignore the recommendations of security experts we consulted or to delay any action on this matter further. I urge you to vote in favor of the proposal," said William Krause, vice president of the Pennridge School Board.
