It’s no deep secret that anti-gun billionaire Mike Bloomberg will do anything, and at any cost, to promote his agenda of eradicating the Second Amendment. He launched an anti-gun organization, Mayors Against Illegal Guns, then rebranded it as Everytown for Gun Safety—likely to sound more relatable to those who are not billionaire politicians—when he absorbed another gun control group, Moms Demand Action, under the Everytown banner. Bloomberg seems determined to control the field of gun-ban advocacy.

Shortly before his untimely death, I had the chance to interview rebel political analyst and cultural commentator, Andrew Breitbart. We were talking about American exceptionalism and lamenting Hollywood’s antagonism toward our Second Amendment, when Andrew said, “We gave Hollywood up without a fight and we may never get it back.” His statement has been painfully prescient.

In a segment about armed LGBT people (particularly transgender people) in New Hampshire, Tucker Carlson pulled out some well-worn talking points we’re used to seeing here at The Truth About Guns. While everybody clearly has a right to their opinions about any topic, including the media and LGBT people, it’s never a good idea for someone who supports gun rights, as Carlson does, to use anti-gunners’ arguments to score a few cheap points against your ideological opponents.

The slaying of children in a Christian school on Monday by a person who police described as transgender came the same week that transgender activists had slated a “Day of Vengeance.” The group–run in part by a former Democratic staffer–also raised money for firearms training and specifically called for action in Nashville, the city where the shooting took place–specifically naming The Daily Wire’s offices there. Little is known about the shooting at this time, and no link between the shooter and the group has been indicated. |

On Friday, Governor Roy Cooper vetoed Senate Bill 41 to repeal our Jim Crow-era pistol purchase permit law and to facilitate parishioners in defending churches against violent sociopaths. It now becomes our responsibility to override that veto. We need your help! Senate Bill 41, returned by Cooper to the legislature, will first go to the Senate, where Republicans hold the necessary 6/10 to override the veto. Next, the bill goes to the House, where Republicans lack just one vote for the needed supermajority. |

Seemingly unfazed by last week’s ruling, the Bruen decision, and even the US Constitution, the State of California today appealed the ruling that struck down significant aspects of its “safe” handgun roster. Judge Cormac Carney last week ruled that the requirements for inclusion on the roster were unconstitutional, essentially undermining the roster itself. The state’s impossible-to-meet requirements, such as microstamping, kept any new firearms from being sold in California. |

Another school shooting in America, and along with three school staff members, three more children have been cut down before they’ve barely begun to live. It begs the question, why is this happening to our most innocent, and to those who are charged with their care and education? What drives some people to target our children as a means to lash out at society? |

“Feds Say Wyoming Man Has No Right To Make His Own Machine Gun,” Cowboy State Daily reports, citing developments in the United States District Court for the District of Wyoming. “Jake Stanley DeWilde in January sued U.S. Attorney General Merrick Garland and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms and Explosives (ATF), saying the government wrongfully denied his application to build his own M16 machine gun and a federal ban on such weapons is unconstitutional.”

House Bill 3594, the constitutional carry bill that was recently passed by the House, has been waiting for a hearing in Senate Judiciary Committee for almost a month. This critical legislation recognizes the fundamental right of law-abiding adults to carry firearms for self-defense without having to navigate burdensome government regulations or pay fees. Furthermore, the bill would increase penalties for criminals caught with firearms, making our communities safer for everyone.

A lead solid bullet is by far the most widely used bullet ever created. "Lead solid" simply means the bullet is completely made of lead, and isn’t hollow or filled with another metal. When most people think of a bullet, they think of a lead solid and usually a round nose, because this is the most popular style and it can be used for pretty much anything. You can hunt, defend your home or property, take care of pesky varmints, shoot cans or bottles, or shoot targets for points.

Perhaps best known for its Premium brand launched in 1977, Federal Ammunition has its humble beginnings in an ammo and bicycle company founded in 1916 in Anoka, Minnesota. While Federal no longer sells bicycles, they still make ammo in their Anoka headquarters, where a single plant manufactures dozens of calibers. Federal was eventually purchased by Charles L. Horn in 1922, two years after the company shut its doors. Horn is considered the founder of the company, as he built the brand into what it is today. |

As expected, the veto override is scheduled in the Senate tomorrow, March 28 for Senate Bill 41, a bill that recognizes law-abiding citizens’ right to self-defense while attending a church with a school attached and also repeals the redundant permit-to-purchase system. The veto override would not be possible without the bipartisan support SB 41 received. Please click the link below to thank the three brave folks who crossed the aisle to ensure a veto-proof majority. SB 41 strengthens our state's commitment to the fundamental right to self-defense and to make our churches and schools safer. |

"Every Communist knows the truth: Political power grows out of the barrel of a gun.” – Mao Tse-tung
Many believe the American Revolution resulted from taxation without representation in parliament. While there is credence in that theory, that did not light the fuse of the first cannon shot in Concord. The American Revolution was the fatal blow of an attempt to control gun ownership in Boston.
