On Thursday, the House Emerging Issues Committee voted 10-4 to approve House Bill 282, to ensure law-abiding citizens may carry firearms for self-defense on public transit. The bill is now eligible for consideration on the House floor. Please contact your state representative and ask them to SUPPORT HB 282.
House Bill 282 removes the prohibition on law-abiding citizens carrying firearms for self-defense on public transit property and in vehicles. In addition, it allows law-abiding citizens to transport unloaded or non-functioning firearms on buses. |

Today the Nebraska Legislature voted 31-10 to pass Legislative Bill 77, “LB 77” by Senator Tom Brewer, the constitutional carry bill on Select File. This bill recognizes the fundamental right of law-abiding adults to carry firearms for self-defense without having to navigate burdensome government regulations. Governor Jim Pillen has pledged to sign LB 77. This is a huge step in Constitutional Carry becoming law in Nebraska! It has never made it this far and there is only ONE more vote before it is sent to the Governor’s desk. |

Apparently, Jeff Cooper was once asked why he was afraid to go unarmed. He answered in a most articulate and witty fashion, as was his usual, and stated roughly, “I am not afraid to go unarmed, but I find it indignant.” If you are a concealed carrier, you probably find traveling to places where you must be unarmed “indignant” as well. I often travel to places where I can’t be armed with a firearm, and I truly find it indignant. I cannot fathom how the majority of people who live in such places within the United States keep the status quo in such localities.

There are few figures who inspire more controversy than Kyle Rittenhouse. Tuesday, he testified to the North Dakota Legislature. Rittenhouse faced homicide charges after killing two men during a 2020 riot during the Black Lives Matter protests in Kenosha, Wisconsin. He was found not guilty. On Tuesday, he testified on House Bill 1213, which would require the state to reimburse an individual charged with a crime of violence if they’re found not guilty due to the justification of self-defense. |

House Bill 3594, the constitutional carry bill that was recently passed by the House, has been waiting for a hearing in Senate Judiciary Committee for almost a month. This critical legislation recognizes the fundamental right of law-abiding adults to carry firearms for self-defense without having to navigate burdensome government regulations or pay fees. Furthermore, the bill would increase penalties for criminals caught with firearms, making our communities safer for everyone.

In addition to being home to one of the largest outdoor trade shows in the world, not to mention instantly recognizable brands like Franklin Armory and Rifle Dynamics, Nevada is a big deal when it comes to guns. The state has long been the home of the largest firearms industry trade show in the country – the National Shooting Sports Foundation's Shooting, Hunting and Outdoor Trade show. The first time SHOT Show was held in Las Vegas was in 1988, at a time when the event traveled to different cities across the country.

We saw New York State’s blatant defiance of the NYSRPA v. Bruen case when the Democrat-dominant legislature slapped the Supreme Court in the face with the implementation of the Concealed Carry Improvement Act (CCIA) that went into effect in September of 2022. The CCIA was quickly voted on in Albany and signed into law in July of 2022, immediately after the June SCOTUS ruling when they Declared New York’s existing gun laws to be unconstitutional.

Dramatic bodycam footage from two different officers, released by the Metropolitan Nashville Police Department, shows the swiftness and determination of police to bring a quick end to the deadly Covenant Presbyterian school shooting in less than four minutes.
Liberty Park Press timed the police movement from the moment the locked school door was opened to the time Nashville Officer Rex Engelbert fired what sounds like four shots from his rifle, followed up within seconds by shots fired by Officer Michael Collazo, using a pistol. Bodycam footage from both officers was released, and in reaction, police are being called heroes by admiring citizens. |

The 458 SOCOM and 300 AAC Blackout are two centerfire cartridges developed to increase the stopping power of the AR-15 platform. Both rounds were designed to work in a short barreled rifle (SBR) with a suppressor.
Adapting new cartridges to the AR-15 is nothing new, as the 6.5 Grendel, 6.8 SPC, and 224 Valkyrie have all been moderately successful. But none of these rounds can compare to the raw power that the heavier bullets of the 300 Blackout (BLK for short) and 458 SOCOM can bring to bear. |
