... "Still, though, getting reelected, promulgating numerous oppressive anti-gun policies through the fiat mechanism of executive orders, or even getting a Congress in place that is willing to play along with the anti-gun agenda legislatively, is only part--the easy part--of disarming the American citizenry. The hard part is actually taking the guns away, when many of us will only give them up bullets first." ...

"America was founded on two main documents: the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution."

"The Constitution of the United States contains the guiding principles that shape our laws and society. The Second Amendment addresses the right to keep and bear arms. This amendment is just as important to our country as freedom of speech or the right to a fair trial because it represents the power of the people to protect their family and property from all threats without relying on government. This right has been under attack from liberals who think that in today's society guns are dangerous and there is no reason to possess or carry them." ...

"The National Shooting Sports Foundation (NSSF) is the firearms industry trade group. In addition to lobbing government on behalf of the gun dealers, manufacturers and (yes) end users, the NSSF is a pretty statistics-intensive organization. Their latest statfest is based on a sample of about 10k handgun owners who completed an online survey. It may not have laid U.S. handgun ownership bare, but it provided some key insights into the purchasing habits and intended uses of American handgun owners. "I walked into the high school wearing two guns and a bullet resistant vest. I had a rifle, six spare magazines, and a ballistic helmet stashed close by in my car. It was Wednesday, April 21st 1999, the day after what had been the worst school shooting in United States history. Two high school kids had just killed 12 of their fellow students and a teacher at Columbine High School in Colorado. The television was awash in the news coverage and everyone was scared."

"My first impression of the Beretta BU9 Nano: awwww, it’s a baby Glock! The Nano shares Glocks’ blocky dimensions. Its trigger looks like it was lifted straight from RF’s G30. Even the artful swage line running from the rear to the front of the Nano’s slide can’t hide the fact that the baby Beretta is an Austrian-style chunky monkey. At second glance, the Nano is a soap bar that’s been left in the shower for a couple of weeks. It’s small, slim, sleek and sexy; a snag-free concealable shooter with low-profile sights and beveled edges. There’s no slide stop to be seen; the reversible mag release is the pistol’s only protrusion. You could even say the striker-fired Nano looks like a Glock to be named later. Not that that’s a bad thing . . ." ...
