"The militia in the United States, as repeatedly stated by the founders and every Supreme Court case on the subject, is the whole body of citizens capable of providing for the common defense."
"The inalienable right to overthrow corrupt rulers does not come from the Constitution, nor is it the law of the land by any means. Our government is designed to have all the checks, balances, and representation of the public to avoid tyranny. But if there ever comes a day where it becomes a tyranny, would we expect a tyranny to have a provision for legal rebellion in its laws? Of course we wouldn’t. The right to revolution exists beyond any piece of paper or law and is irrelevant to the militia itself..."

"Just as there is a War on Drugs and a War on Terrorism ongoing in this country, there is a war without such a catchy name that continues unabated in America. That is the War on Guns. And just as the War on Drugs has spent billions of dollars with quite literally nothing to show for it but growing incidences of violence and the highest incarceration rates in the world; and as the War on Terrorism has cost untold losses of liberty to date; the War on Guns has prohibitive expenses all its own."
"The grassroots forces in the War on Guns like to say that they're 'pro-gun control' or 'for the children.' In reality, they're anti-gun at best, and card-carrying members of the rights-denial contingent as a matter of course. ..." |

"Commissioner Michael Picardi disclosed plans to install cameras on 125 new squad cars"... 'Picardi said he's even experimenting with a Big Brother bonus for unmarked police cars: a tiny microphone positioned near the windshield so powerful it can pick up conversations on the street.' "
"You could pull into a street corner and, if there's a drug deal going on a half-block away, you can hear what's going on. You could have all the windows shut and the air-conditioning on and you could hear everything going on outside the vehicle," Picardi said."
"It's all pluses, no minuses,"
------- Apparently trampling over our Second Amendment rights isn't enough for Comrade Daley. He has to add the Fourth Amendment to that list as well. |

"Disclosure that the Chicago, Ill. Police department has apparently been 'experimenting' with tiny microphones in unmarked police cars that can pick up nearby conversations on the street is yet another civil rights slap in the face in a city where law-abiding citizens have already been effectively stripped of their gun rights."
"The Citizens Committee for the Right to Keep and Bear Arms (CCRKBA) today agreed with Ed Yohnka, spokesman for the American Civil Liberties Union of Illinois that there is a genuine concern about Fourth Amendment violations if such conversations would be recorded without warrants." |

"That's why bills like SB 436 excite me. While I'm again appalled at American society that we need to codify the obvious, putting common sense on the record is never a bad thing. SB 436 and HB 249 give individuals the right to use force, deadly or no, in protecting a home, residence or vehicle. That action is then shielded from prosecution, particularly if the thief is injured in the melee."
