The boys were taken to the Outagamie County juvenile detention building. Both face possible charges of disorderly conduct and carrying a concealed weapon. ~~~~~ Except that they DIDN'T DO ANYTHING ILLEGAL! What's wrong with this picture? |

A gun safety education proposal relegated to the legislative version of life support earlier this week has been revived, meaning Maryland could soon become the first state to require schools to teach children in grades K-12 about firearms.
Key lawmakers, the National Rifle Association and Marylanders Against Handgun Abuse say they support the latest version of the bill, and that they expect it to pass the full House and Senate before the General Assembly session adjourns April 9. |

"Thus the espionage activities of the winter of 1775 set the stage for the Battle of Lexington and Concord and the opening of the American Revolution. One can only wonder if Gage had not acted to take the Americans weapons away from them, precipitating the fight by doing the one thing the Rebels were most outraged by - using the King's Army on its own citizens and trying to subjugate and disarm them thereby - whether or not war would have come to pass. But war it was, and 8 years of it followed. In the end, America would be free." |

Since this is a direct violation of the First Amendment "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.", I expect all pro-freedom organizations to continue letting their members know what is going on. |

"Conservatives need to understand that the problem of corrupt justice goes deeper than law enforcement personnel and cannot be corrected by cleaning out the Clinton DOJ. The very concept of law that protects us from tyranny has been lost. No longer the people's shield, law has become a weapon in the hands of government. Justice is no longer a concern of the justice system." --Paul Craig Roberts |

"The new Statewide Firearms Trafficking Task Force, created in July, has seized 389 weapons and made 41 arrests, the lawmakers said.
"At a news conference at the Capitol, the mostly Republican group said those results show Connecticut can combat crime more effectively by enforcing existing laws than by adopting new laws such as a proposed ban on assault weapons." |

Take the link to read the article and get ready to throw up! The "writers" of this article compare a law abiding gun owning NRA member to a drug dealing, gun toting, career criminal.
The only reason I picked up that rag is that it was free and I was bored sitting in my car waiting for the "alternate side of the street parking" regulation to expire. |

QUOTES
TO REMEMBER |
Government is not the solution to our problem; government is the problem.... We've been tempted to believe that society has become too complex to be managed by self-rule, that government by an elite group is superior to government for, by, and of the people. Well, if no one among us is capable of government himself, then who among us has the capacity to govern someone else? All of us together, in and out of government, must bear the burden. The solutions we seek must be equitable, with no one group singled out to pay a higher price. — Ronald Reagan |
