Although I have shot a few SIG handguns over the years, I have never handled a P226. My first SIG was a P220 in .45 ACP and I never really warmed up to that gun. I understand why there are fanboys of certain firearms, and SIG certainly has them, especially when it comes to the 226. The P226 was originally developed for entry into the XM9 Service Pistol Trials that were held by the U.S. Army in 1984. The P226 is essentially the same basic design as the P220 that was developed in 1975 and was the first SIG handgun to be sold in the U.S. market, initially by Browning as the BDA.

Each background check represents one gun purchaser and is an indicator of how many firearms sales are happening across the state. |

Numerous sources have recently reported sightings of Cupid at the 2020 SHOT Show in Las Vegas. “I saw him in several different booths” claimed SHOT Show attendee Romeo. “First, I saw him in the Barrett booth checking out the M107A1 .50 BMG. and next thing you know, I see him at U.S. Armament checking out an 1877 Bulldog Gatling gun. I asked my fiancé, what’s up with that? Isn’t he supposed to be cute and adorable?” |

Joe Biden is the Establishment Democrats’ choice for U.S. President. The American people should have no illusion about that or about what that means and whom it would be that Biden would serve were he to become U.S. President. Biden pays homage to the inordinately wealthy, highly secretive, abjectly ruthless, extremely powerful and well-organized Neoliberal Corporatist Globalist Collectivist Establishment “Elite-Elect.” That was true when Biden served as Barack Obama’s Vice President. |

"Nancy Pelosi is a cancer on the body politic." Those are the words of Mark Levin and he is profoundly correct. It is actually an understatement. This woman has dedicated her entire recent term to impeaching President Trump over a phone call. She stupidly bought into Adam Schiff’s lunacy that they had the evidence that the president had threatened the president of Ukraine with a quid pro quo -- either investigate the Clinton campaign’s meddling in the 2016 election or else. |

The top-selling pump-action sold in 2019, according to volume of purchases on Gunbroker.com, is actually no longer in production. It’s a classic last produced in 1936—the Remington Model 12. Roy Marcot’s book, The History of Remington Firearms (his page with the Model 12 entry is seen above) describes it as “…one of the best-selling guns ever produced by Remington, as 831,737 rifles were made in a 27-year period…” If you’re a Big Green fan, or own one of its guns, his full-color, 128-page work is certainly suitable for a coffee table. Better yet, get a copy for reference. |

A former employee of the Madison County Sheriff's Department has been charged with aggravated sexual assault that happened 20 years ago.
The Texas Rangers arrested Ivan Wayne Linebaugh Monday. According to investigators, Linebaugh was working as a Madison County Sheriff's Deputy in April 2000 when he made a traffic stop on Interstate 45.
Officials said the victim alleged a marked patrol unit stopped her and a uniformed law enforcement officer forced her to perform a sexual act instead of going to jail. Rangers launched an investigation and collected DNA from the victim's clothing.
In 2017, authorities reopened the case
Linebaugh was employed by the Madison County Sheriff's Department until 2011. |

A gun-rights group is threatening to sue Gov. Ralph Northam for forcing indoor shooting ranges to close to prevent the spread of the coronavirus. While gun shops can remain open as long as they keep patrons to 10 or less and practice social distancing, Northam has labeled indoor shooting ranges as “indoor public amusement” alongside movie theaters and bowling alleys. Under an executive order Northam issued last week, such businesses had to shutter on March 24 and remain closed until at least April 23. Since that executive order was issued, Northam has implemented a stay-at-home order until June 10.

#3 steel shot is the perfect substitution for situations where lead is prohibited or where you want less penetration. For home defense, the steel option offers slightly less penetration than the lead round, making it safer than larger ammo types like 00 buck. |

Emergency reloads are exceedingly rare in self-defense shootings. Especially in a time when guns like the P365 exist, and small guns carrying significant onboard ammunition are the norm. Sometimes, we see them in law enforcement shootings, but even that is relatively uncommon. So why bother? Well, we have to do them when we go shoot guns for fun. We also don’t want to end up on the wrong side of a statistic. So while I wouldn’t spend huge amounts of time on working reloads, making some effort to at least be proficient is probably a good idea. These are five things I have found to help with a fundamentally sound reload. |

Walther created the modern, semi-automatic, concealed handgun market with the introduction of its model PP (Polizeipistole) in 1929, followed one year later by the classic PPK. In 2014, the company updated the concept with the introduction of its “Concealed Carry Pistol” or CCP. The result falls in size right between the smallest of single-stacks and the mid-size double-stack 9 mm Lugers, making it well-suited for inside-the-waistband or shoulder-holster carry. |

Gun shops in New Jersey can re-open Tuesday following a reversal in a temporary order by Gov. Phil Murphy. Tom Vadurro, the owner of Arsenal Gun Shop in Deptford Township, said his shop is back open for business. "It's about time. The Second Amendment is not an opinion. It's not a choice. It's your constitutional right," Vadurro told 6abc.
