A former postal worker returned to his old workplace with a gun and two knives and stabbed three people before he was fatally shot by police. The three employees sustained minor injuries.
KABA Note: It is ludicrous for law-abiding postal workers to be unable to defend themselves! What if the criminal had decided to use his gun instead? There would be three or more dead people before the police were able to arrive. |

Rep. Goode (I-VA) has introduced H.R.1455 "To repeal Section 658 of Public Law 104-208, commonly referred to as the Lautenberg amendment." ~~ This would wipe-out the law implemented a few years ago prohibiting gun ownership by people who were in the past convicted of any charges of domestic violence. The Lautenberg law violates the "ex post facto" provisions of the Constitution, by applying a new penalty for a past crime that has already long since been adjudicated. CONTACT YOUR U.S. REPS! |

A clerk who let children sneak candy off the shelves and who played Nintendo with customers was shot to death Tuesday, the third victim of a Phoenix mom-and-pop store shooting since November. The clerk looked away as laughing children ran out of the store with snacks. "He had the respect of all of the children," she said. ~~ The article paints hm to be a victim, but he was also bringing up a new group of juvenile delinquents, by letting them steal candy.
KABA Note: David is right: You don't get the respect of children by looking the other way when they break the law. You also don't do them a favor. Perhaps the teenage thugs wouldn't be victimizing innocent people today if the adults in their lives had set up reasonable boundaries when they were little. |

"I thought a lot that night about the hypocrisy of our immigration policy. These men had jobs in the U.S. waiting for them. They knew that if they could just get to Plano, they could make enough money to feed their families. But in the meantime, they had to risk their lives crossing the border and walking for days through harsh landscape. If there were no jobs for Mexicans here, we wouldn't need a Border Patrol." ~~ What if the Mexican economy was to collapse? They would all be trying to cross over here. Yes, we need our guns. |

The Superbra, made by California-based personal protection expert Paxton Quigley, allows women easy access to a canister of pepper spray, a .38 caliber snub nose revolver or more — depending on the wearer.
"When they're attacked, the purse is the first thing taken away from them," she says. "I thought a good place to conceal a weapon would be in the chest area." |

"Flames and vandalism spread through parts of downtown Cincinnati and nearby neighborhoods Tuesday as anger turned to violence for hundreds of people protesting the shooting death of an unarmed black man by a Cincinnati police officer. Cincinnati police in riot gear used tear gas and fired rubber projectiles and bean bags filled with metal pellets to try to control people who smashed store windows, overturned trash cans and threw bottles and bricks."
KABA Note: Missing from this story are all the good citizens prepared to defend themselves and their property against the criminals. |
