"After almost 100 years of pretending the right to bear arms didn’t mean much, judges and scholars are changing their minds."
"Because of recent events in law and scholarship, it’s now possible to imagine reasonable gun controls—those aimed at disarming criminals, rather than honest citizens—and a reading of the Second Amendment that stays true to its original meaning. But this country might have gotten here sooner, and avoided a lot of political acrimony, had judges and academics done their jobs properly..." |

In a followup to a recent column in the Times-Dispatch by A. Barton Hinkle (www.timesdispatch.com/editorials/oped/MGB7WKZW8ZC.html)
"It is shocking that a white man of Hinkle's position in the former capital of the Confederacy would purport to speak for the African-American community. It has had to bear the brunt of Exile's racist implementation because Virginia's legislature is beholden to the gun lobby." -- Andres Soto, "policy director," Pacific Center for Violence Prevention |

Lurking in the wings is a heavy Humanistic yoke and the insanity of abortion, euthanasia, murder, ethnic cleansing, rape, pillaging, and mayhem. Already the genie is out of the bottle and the show is about to begin..." |

Not directly RKBA related, but check out this quote:
"[The Cowboy] knows that some people are evil, and their evil afflicts the innocent. Maybe they have an excuse for their evil, maybe they don't, or maybe they're just no damn good, but ultimately what matters is keeping that evil from destroying the good. Reason, law, appeals to morality ultimately cut no ice with the bad guy. He respects only one thing-- overwhelming, devastating and, usually, lethal force." |
