"Right-handed people are left-brain dominant, meaning that left-handed people are the only ones in their right minds. This follows through with the eyes as well, but the eye on your dominant side isn’t necessarily your dominant eye. ...Bring your index fingers and thumbs together at arm’s length making an “o,” focusing on an object beyond that distance. Bring your hands, still in this position, back to your face. The eye that looks through the “o” is your dominant eye."

"Every Californian should appeal to their so-called leaders to close this 'loophole' in the law that allows people like Sean Penn to carry a firearm while subjecting the majority of citizens to just bend over and take it. We all deserve equal protection under the law, and no one is entitled to be placed above the law…especially people like Sean Penn. This kind of vile hypocrisy must end."

"The bill funding the war in Iraq has become jam- packed with so many special-interest favors -- such as a $250 million grant for Southern catfish farmers -- that Congress should be ashamed to vote for it, the Libertarian Party says."

" 'Unfortunately, wartime looting isn't confined to Iraq,' said Geoffrey Neale, the party's national chairman. 'Politicians in Washington, DC, are using the fog of late-night legislating to cover their tracks as they funnel money to their political supporters.' "

"Lastly, I am 14 years old. Memo to government: That's a whole four years under 18. What happens when you turn 18? Hopefully you register to vote, but primarily, you have the right to vote at that age. So, what exactly does that mean? It means that I am a minor, too young to vote, and I must pay federal and state income taxes to a government that does not represent me."

"A few hundred years ago, some angry men had a party of some sorts and threw tea into the Boston Harbor. Those patriots called it 'taxation without representation.' "

"A couple of threshold observations:

First: Three thousand people died on 9/11. While this is a tragedy of immense proportions, it is important to remember that perhaps as many as 100,000,000 people were killed during the 20th century by despotic governments given totalitarian powers. Americans who believe 'it can't happen here' should consider how federalizing police powers resulted in tragic consequences in places like Ruby Ridge, Idaho and Waco, Texas."

"Something about the Fortune list particularly interesting to me was the fact that it includes no gun makers. Not that I expected any. It could be the Fortune 1000 or maybe even 2000, and there wouldn't be any gun makers on it."

"But if there had been a Fortune 500 in the 1880s and '90s, names like Winchester, Remington, Marlin, Smith & Wesson and Colt would've been near the top of it. Most Americans were so poor in those days that the $15 to $20 price tag on a quality rifle or handgun represented a huge expenditure."

"In fact, hardly anything the average family bought in those days required as large a lump-sum outlay as a firearm. Yet rare was the home that didn't hold at least one gun, and most were repositories for multiple weapons. As a result, gun makers were among the most profitable of enterprises and were practically unequaled in name recognition and consumer respect."

"Parris Island was a hellhole, but we didn't mind. We were going to graduate and become, by God, Marines. Most of our platoon of 80 endured the classes, grueling physical training, drills, food, utter lack of privacy and homesickness, just as the men did. Most of us suffered through the gas chamber, the battery of inoculations and the creative abuses of our drill instructors, just as the men did." ...

"And there the equality of the sexes ended. Our boot camp was weeks shorter than the men's, because they had to qualify with firearms. We women were shown an M-16 rifle, but the Marine Corps had no intention of letting us fire one, much less issuing M-16s for possible engagement with an enemy. The extent of our hand-to-hand combat training was not structured with threats to the United States in mind."

"On the contrary, we were taught how to defend our virtue from fellow Marines in the event of sexual assault." ...

"To those second-guessing pseudo-feminists who would cast doubts upon the appropriateness of having the 'weaker sex' take active roles in combat, I suggest you stand firm in your passivity and butt out. Uncle Sam neither wants nor needs you. Or to put it anachronistically: Ladies, don't worry your pretty little heads about it."

"These supposed women’s groups don’t care about you. They don’t care about your capabilities, your strengths or your will to live. They care about prostrating you at the altar of self-destruction. They care about enslaving you and using your own ignorance as chains to bind you. They claim to work for the equality of the genders, and yet shun the great equalizer – armed self-defense. They assert that the only way to truly protect you is to take away the most effective means of protection available to you. They claim you are just as intelligent, capable and independent as men, but they work to prove you otherwise. In other words: THEY LIE. Remember that next time you support their obscene cause."
