Politicians Lied, Gun-Control Failed, and Innocent People Died on the New York Subway

Trust us, they said.

New York politicians said they would take care of us, and we wouldn’t need a firearm. All they needed was a little more gun-control and then we’ll finally be safe.

The latest mass murder on the New York City subway is different is scale, but similar in type to what we see every week. New York Democrats lied and we are not safe. The open question is if we’ll pay attention and really look at what is going on.

Assemblyman Mike Gibson, who represents South Los Angeles, introduced AB 1621 to regulate the gun kits. If the bill passes, the sale of individual parts used to make the ghost guns would be banned.

The firearms kits in question allow people to make the untraceable, unregistered guns at home.

"Just on Sunday, we had a massive shooting in the Watts Willowbrook area and it continues, and when they find out where these guns come from, these guns are homemade," the assemblyman said.

This week, Governor Laura Kelly signed pro-hunting legislation, House Bill 2456, into law. The measure will go into effect on July 1, 2022.

House Bill 2456 establishes the Kansas kids lifetime combination hunting and fishing license. As amended, such a license shall be issued to children who are five-years-old or younger, and the price of a license will not exceed $300. The Senate added an amendment creating a second level of the license, to be available for children between the ages of 6 to 7, not to exceed $500.

IL: Ghost guns face tighter restrictions

It’s been a week where Democrats on the state and national levels have successfully moved to force tougher restrictions on ghost guns.

Ghost guns are made from parts or kits. They don’t have serial numbers, making them untraceable in a criminal investigation. They can be manufactured using 3D printers.

In Illinois this past Saturday, the Democratic controlled legislature voted at 4:45 a.m. to require ghost guns to have serial numbers. The measure, if signed by Gov. JB Pritzker, would prohibit the sale or transfer of guns without a serial number.

New Ammo for 2022

I’m a bit reluctant to present the new ammo products slated for production in 2022 because some of the new loads advertised for 2021 have yet to make it to dealer’s shelves. The reason for this was the unprecedented demand for ammunition we experienced over the last two years. It’s hard for manufacturers to dedicate resources to new offerings when they cannot make enough of their old ones to keep shooters happy. Though I’d not say the ammo world is back to normal, there does seem to be some stabilization. So, with some hesitancy, here are some exciting new ammo introductions to look forward to in 2022—or later.

Actually, no. All those guns have turned our streets, schools, and homes into a 21st-century version of the Wild West, with tens of thousands of casualties. Nine mass shootings erupted on a recent weekend, leaving eight dead and 60 wounded, including a gunfight at a car show in Arkansas that left 27 people — including six children — injured. Road-rage shootings have become daily events. When people feel disrespected on the road, Houston Mayor Sylvester Turner said, "now instead of throwing up the finger, they're pulling out the gun and shooting."

The Glock 36 shares many of the same traits of other Glock guns that millions of firearms owners love. But this Glock is small and packs some serious firepower: A brilliant evolution in pistols from Glock, the Glock 36 packs all of the line’s favorite features into a diminutive package with one heck of a punch.

This subcompact .45 caliber semi-automatic pistol carries a six-plus-one load with a single stack magazine to accomplish its barely-there dimensions. The first single stack from Glock, the Glock 36 is a true slimline subcompact.

"Crooks and the female were involved in a domestic relationship," Kennedy said. "The altercation between them was observed by multiple third party witnesses. At this time, potential self-defense issues are being investigated on the part of the female, and no arrests have been made."

Kennedy went on to say the investigation into the fatal stabbing continues and the case will eventually be presented to a grand jury.

Biden Is Truth-Challenged When It Comes to the Second Amendment (and Much Else)

Since taking office, Joe Biden has been busy weaponizing the federal government against Americans who make or desire to purchase firearms. Naturally, he defends this by trotting out false claims about the Second Amendment. A favorite of his is the statement that when the Second Amendment was adopted, people couldn’t buy a cannon.

"Mehmet Oz is anti-gun," the ad claims in text that appears over a grainy black-and-white image of Oz while dramatic music plays and other claims flash across the screen. "Oz called for a New Zealand-style gun ban," says one. "Oz: Americans should have ‘less access to guns.’"

Did Oz really say those things?

A review of statements he has made on television, in social media posts and in bylined columns show Oz for years promoted these and other ideas supported by advocates of gun control measures. His position on these matters appears to have changed since he announced his plan to run for public office.

HI: Ghost gun rule won’t do much good, but it also won’t do any harm

This week, President Joe Biden announced new measures to track the sale of “ghost guns,” untraceable firearms made from do-it-yourself kits. The new Justice Department rule will require such kits to be produced by licensed manufacturers, and will require purchasers to pass a background check. This is a reasonable gun control step that will undoubtedly face unreasonable responses.

We strongly support Second Amendment rights, and we expect that this won’t make a dramatic difference in gun violence, despite Biden’s most earnest wishes. Violent people will still commit crimes with legal firearms. And criminals bent on breaking laws won’t be dissuaded by yet more laws around certain kinds of guns.

Should the U.S. continue to fund conservation through gun sales?

Gun and ammunition sales in the U.S. have skyrocketed in recent years. And although it may come as a surprise, this trend has supported conservation activities.

That’s because every firearm and bullet produced or imported into the U.S. is subject to an excise tax dedicated to wildlife conservation and restoration. In 1998, these taxes generated about US$247 million in inflation-adjusted apportionments to state fish and wildlife agencies from the federal U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service, which collects and manages these funds. By 2018, these revenues had more than tripled to $829 million.

A pair of armed carjackers weren’t prepared for their prey to fight back, and now one of them is in the hospital after being shot in the neck.

A 48-year-old New Orleans man had just parked his vehicle and was walking toward his house around 7 PM yesterday. Two male teens were on the prowl in a vehicle when they targeted the man walking toward his house. They drove in reverse, and one of them hopped out of the vehicle. The suspect pointed a gun at the man demanding his keys.

Lucky Rosenbloom was grocery shopping at a Twin Cities store when he spotted a couple of people stroll in with guns openly attached to their hips. They took their time wandering through the aisles as security guards stood nearby, unfazed.

Rosenbloom knows it's legal to openly carry guns in many places in Minnesota, but as a Black permit-to-carry instructor, he wouldn't dream of being so bold with his firearm.

"If I did that same thing, I would not make it outside," he said. "And if I did, there'd be 20 squads out there waiting for me."

The Stingerless CzechPoint Vz.61 Semi-Automatic Skorpion Pistol

If I had to sum up the semi-automatic version of the CzechPoint Vz.61 semi-automatic machine pistol in three words, they would be heavy, archaic, and anemic.

Despite this, there’s still something uniquely intriguing about the gun; between its iconic appearance, and classic Cold War heritage, the Vz.61 still has a ton of fans!?

But are these intangible aspects enough to keep the little gun relevant? Let’s take a closer look and find out.

Thursday, Republican U.S. Senate hopeful Katie Britt continued her campaign’s efforts to raise awareness of her policy positions by releasing a memo regarding her stance on the Second Amendment.

In speaking to what she saw as the importance of upholding law-abiding American citizens’ gun rights, Britt made mention of the nationwide spike in crime.

“As crime skyrockets across the country thanks to dangerous liberal policies and anti-law enforcement rhetoric, it is more important than ever that law-abiding citizens exercise our Second Amendment rights,” she declared in the memo.
