The text of Gov. Kathleen Sebelius' message to legislators upon vetoing a bill allowing Kansans to carry concealed handguns:
"I support Kansans' Second Amendment rights. [Liar!] I support the Kansas Constitution, which also protects the people's right to bear arms. [LIAR!] I believe in every American's right to own and keep firearms. As a woman who has lived and raised children in an urban area, I understand the need for personal safety and self-defense.
"But as governor, I must consider what will make Kansans safer overall. I do not believe the widespread legalization of concealed firearms that House Bill 2798 would allow would make Kansans safer." ... -------
It is not about "safety" it is about freedom! It's time to demand that this lying dame go unarmed and that her guards go unarmed. |

"A man found dead in a car was the suspect in a botched grocery store robbery this week, and may be connected to a string of other robberies in the area, authorities said."
" 'This dude walked in and stuck a pistol in Mike's face. He pushed Mike, and then they started wrestling with the gun,' store employee Freddie Lattin said."
"Lattin said he started running across the street to call police but stopped when he heard shots."
" 'That's what made me turn around. ... Then I seen the young dude come out the store and then Mike came out bleeding ... and Mike came out with his gun.' "
"Zeidan was shot at least once in the shoulder during the struggle. Zeidan retrieved his own weapon and fired at the suspect who ran from the store." ... |

Try finding any actual gun safety training like this being offered by so-called gun safety advocates like the MMM, or Americans For Gun Safety. You won't find it, because they don't offer it. ---
"Keep your eye on the target, don't take your eye off him," instructor Dennis Lengle warns from behind.
Guns are serious, Lengle said. That's the tone at the concealed-carry course. The levity in the room the previous two nights of classroom instruction was left at the door.
"Gun handling versus marksmanship, what's more important? Gun handling," Lengle said. "You must demonstrate the proper knowledge, skills and attitude — that's safety and how you act. Going out to the range once a year isn't going to cut it." |

DARWIN AWARD RECIPIENT?
------- FONTANA -- "The alleged gunman in a drive-by shooting was booked on suspicion of killing the driver of the car during the attack, police said Tuesday."
"Passenger Richard Allen Eppard, 20, was firing a semiautomatic gun out the driver's side window Thursday when he shot Christopher Bonadiman, 20, of Fontana in the head, police said."
" 'I would say that this is probably one of the stupidest people we've come across in a very long time,' police Sgt. Mark Weissmann said."
Eppard, a Bloomington resident, had no criminal record before the shooting. He apparently missed whoever he was targeting during the attack, police said.

Lawrence Convention Center Downtown this weekend, they'll have plenty of opportunities to try out their new lesson as the National Rifle Association's annual convention opens today -- promising 'four acres of guns and gear.' [Fourth Story on Page, FULL TEXT BELOW]
A firearms instructor at an Orange County Sheriff's Department firing range accidentally shot a colleague in the leg, officials said.
The accident occurred at the Katella Training Facility Thursday, sheriff's spokesman Jim Amormino said.
The 41-year-old civilian instructor was conducting an annual safety inspection on a deputy's pistol when it accidentally discharged. The bullet hit a 57-year-old nearby instructor, Amormino said.
The bullet went through his leg near his knee. He was taken to UCI Medical Center but was not believed to be seriously injured.
The shooting was being investigated to determine if safety rules or regulations were violated, Amormino said. -------

America does not go abroad in search of monsters to destroy. She is the well-wisher to the freedom and independence of all.
