Data contained in the Seattle Police Department’s 2021 Year-End Crime Report underscores the complete failure of Seattle’s six-year-old gun control tax on firearms and ammunition that not only hasn’t reduced violence in the city, it also has never come close to meeting projected revenue figures put forth in 2015.

The Citizens Committee for the Right to Keep and Bear Arms said today a new Rasmussen survey reinforces what they have been saying for years: More gun control laws are not the answer to preventing shootings like Tuesday’s New York subway attack.

According to Rasmussen, 51 percent of likely voters doubt the effectiveness of stricter gun control laws, adding that “Majorities of every political category – 67% of Republicans, 52% of Democrats and 59% of unaffiliated voters – say it’s not possible to completely prevent mass shootings.”

Public hunting areas are literally everywhere, but some offer better hunting opportunities than others. When considering a state to hunt on public land, there are three major factors to take into consideration. The first, is the amount of public land that is open to hunting in that particular state. Secondly, what species of animal are you looking to hunt. And lastly, what is the process of getting a hunting license or tag in that state?

At the same time that WWI was breaking out and the world was falling into chaos, Remington was launching one of the most unique pump-action hunting rifles ever produced. Built to compete with fast-running, high-powered lever actions from the likes of Winchester, Marlin, and Savage, the Remington Model 14 and Model 141 carved out a strong niche with American hunters.

The XPB series is a line of ammo created and distributed by Barnes Bullets (well known among reloaders), an ammunition manufacturer based in Utah. These bullets are only used in large caliber handgun ammo, from the .357 up to .500 S&W and everything in between. The Barnes XPB features various nose shapes, but one thing is standard across every bullet type – the hollow point. This allows for maximum expansion on impact and phenomenal stopping power, no matter what you’re shooting. This particular style of ammunition is great for home defense, and is also fairly popular among handgun hunters who go after game like hogs and other handgun-friendly targets.

I’m a bit reluctant to present the new ammo products slated for production in 2022 because some of the new loads advertised for 2021 have yet to make it to dealer’s shelves. The reason for this was the unprecedented demand for ammunition we experienced over the last two years. It’s hard for manufacturers to dedicate resources to new offerings when they cannot make enough of their old ones to keep shooters happy. Though I’d not say the ammo world is back to normal, there does seem to be some stabilization. So, with some hesitancy, here are some exciting new ammo introductions to look forward to in 2022—or later.

 QUOTES TO REMEMBER
The most foolish mistake we could possibly make would be to permit the conquered Eastern peoples to have arms. History teaches that all conquerors who have allowed their subject races to carry arms have prepared their own downfall by doing so. Indeed I would go so far as to say that the underdog is a sine qua non for the overthrow of any sovereignty. So let's not have any native militia or police. German troops alone will bear the sole responsibility for the maintenance of law and order. — Adolf Hitler, April 11, 1942. (Source: "Hitler's Table-Talk at the Fuehrer's Headquarters 1941-1942", Dr. Henry Picker, ed. (Athenaeum Verlag, Bonn, 1951).)
