"Gun Owners of America and its 300,000 membership, is very concerned with the increasing trend of the Supreme Court to openly celebrate that their decisions are based on foreign law. ...Foreign law almost never supports the right to keep and bear arms. Unless the majority on the Supreme Court is made accountable and/or replaced, it is easy to imagine a ruling by the Court that guts the Second Amendment."
"We were particularly offended that Democrats such as Senators Kennedy and Lautenberg would suggest that your call for judicial accountability was tantamount to a call to murder these judges. If that outrageous slander is allowed to stand, then a call by Gun Owners of America’s Political Victory Fund to defeat anti-gun politicians could easily be viewed as a terrorist threat." |

"Every time a state enacts right-to-carry, doomsayers predict scenarios like shoot-outs over parking spaces and traffic stops that turn deadly for law enforcement. That there are now 38 RTC states without such horrors does not deter the gun control addict, for theirs is not a crusade based upon logic or statistical reality. It is the purpose of these writings to expose gun controllers’ defective reasoning, to give you the tools for addressing the issues surrounding gun control, and to promote and protect your right to carry." |

"Nugent's opinions, like his breathtaking guitar playing, have always been over the top."
"But even given the fact that he was addressing an audience that ardently defends the Second Amendment right to bear arms, it's hard to believe that most right-thinking Americans want a return to the kind of Wild West behavior endorsed by Nugent."
------- It's amusing to watch gun banners bloviate about the "Wild West" and quake in their boots at the thought.
An article by Ryan McMaken for the Mises Institute shows that "As with Dodge City, the excitement in the Old West in general has been much overstated. All the big cattle towns of Kansas combined saw a total of 45 murders during the period of 1870-1885. Dodge City alone saw 15 people die violently from 1876–1885—an average of 1.5 per year. Deadwood, South Dakota and Tombstone, Arizona (home of the O.K. Corral), during their worst years of violence saw four and five murders respectively. Vigilante violence appears to not have been much worse."
We would venture to say that Detroit has a LOT more murders and a LOT more gun control than the Wild West did.

"Dhennin, a retired Anoka County sheriff's deputy, and Sinner, a University of Minnesota grad student in public health, proved that you can buy just about anything you want in Minnesota."
"For Saturday's excursion, Dhennin and Sinner, shopping on behalf of Citizens for a Safer Minnesota, an organization devoted to sane gun restrictions, were out to buy an assault rifle. Citizens for a Safer Minnesota wanted the rifle for a couple of reasons: 1) to show how available these weapons are; 2) to use the weapon as visual evidence about why it wasn't such a good idea for the feds to allow a limited ban on assault weapons to fade away in 2004."
------- KABA Note: Notice the obfuscation. "Assault rifles" are a bad idea because they're available, not because they have been used in terrorist acts. As a matter of fact, the now-defunct "assault" weapons ban had no effect on crime rates committed with these weapons, likely because the number is miniscule.
