Elmer Keith, Bill Jordan and Skeeter Skelton – three icons of the firearms industry – designed the .41 Remington Magnum cartridge and introduced it to the shooting public in April of 1964. The ammunition came with two distinct loads: one for law enforcement (those that the cartridge had originally been designed for) and one for hunting.
Along with the release of this new magnum ammunition, the Smith & Wesson Model 57 revolver, which was chambered for the .41 Remington Magnum, hit the market. Two months later, in June of 1964, Smith & Wesson released the Model 58, a revolver chambered for the .41 Rem Mag that was specifically designed for police officers and other law enforcement. |

Texas A&M’s Trap and Skeet Club recently won the 2021 Association of College Unions International (ACUI) Collegiate Clay Target championship at the National Shooting Complex in San Antonio.
The Aggies won with an overall score of 1414 in the Division 1 tier. Meagan Harringon won the ACUI Women’s National Champion for the second consecutive year as she finished the event with a score of 276.
“Being one of the only non-scholarship programs in Division I, this title was huge for us,” said Greg Garrett, president of Texas A&M Trap and Skeet, in a release. “We won the Division II title in 2016 and decided to step up to Division 1 in 2017. |

The terms “nationalism” and “patriotism” are often used interchangeably. This is understandable, as they have somewhat overlapping meanings, both of which suffer from a certain amount of vagueness. However, there are a number of key differences between the two that are worth shedding light on. In the final analysis, we believe that the term “nationalism,” while not denoting anything totalitarian by its nature, is not an accurate term for the sentiment that exists in the United States. Nationalism, it would seem, is more suited to Europe or Asia, places with historic nations, united by common language and ethnicity that are necessarily tied with a certain area of land. |

A divided Ninth Circuit panel on Tuesday lifted a court order against two Trump-era rules that make it easier to share untraceable 3D-printed gun blueprints, just as the Biden administration seeks to tighten restrictions on so-called ghost guns. The appeals court ruling will lift restrictions on exporting specs for 3D-printed guns, but President Joe Biden announced in early April that the Justice Department would issue new rules for ghost guns within 30 days.

Changes he said he is concerned about. “Every American I think has the God given right to own a weapon if they so choose. An Illinois Circuit Court Judge in White County has ruled the requirement for possessing a Firearm Owner’s Identification Card to possess a gun in the home is unconstitutional under the Second Amendment.
The case is known as Illinois v. Vivian Claudine Brown. Her case is supported by the Second Amendment Foundation and Illinois State Rifle Association. According to Brown’s attorney, David Sigale of Wheaton, Ill., this is the second time a judge has declared the FOID Card Act unconstitutional, dismissing the charges against Brown, who had a bolt-action rifle in her home, but did not possess an FOID card. |

The Second Amendment Foundation is hailing the decision by the U.S. Supreme Court to hear a Second Amendment right-to-carry case challenging New York State’s restrictive gun control law, declaring that a favorable ruling in this case will almost certainly impact challenges to similar laws in other states, which SAF and others are contesting.
The case is known as NY State Rifle & Pistol Association v. Corlett. It is the first time in more than a decade the high court has accepted a Second Amendment case for review since the 2010 case of McDonald v. City of Chicago, which was a SAF case decided in June 2010. |

The Tennessee Senate voted Monday to make the state a Second Amendment sanctuary. Senate Bill 1335 says the state will not enforce any potential federal laws or orders that it believes violate the Second Amendment and will deem them “null, void, and unenforceable.” The measure also “prohibits the state and political subdivisions from using public resources to enforce, administer, or cooperate with the enforcement or administration of any such treaty, executive order, rule, or regulation.”

Kosciusko County Commissioners Tuesday passed an ordinance declaring the county is a Second Amendment sanctuary. In the ordinance, it states the county shall not comply with, assist or use any personnel or financial resources to enforce, administer or cooperate with any law that violates the Second Amendment or Article I, Section 32 of the United States Constitution.

Attorney and Second Amendment activist Colion Noir said on Fox Nation’s "Tucker Carlson Today" that a recent Supreme Court ruling gives him the ability to declare "I will not comply" with unconstitutional gun laws being forwarded by President Joe Biden and congressional Democrats. Biden and the left seek a blanket ban on so-called "assault weapons," something that was brought to fruition in the 1990s by Sen. Dianne Feinstein, D-Calif., under President Clinton. That 10-year ban was not renewed by Congress during the second Bush administration.

The Arkansas Senate on Monday voted to override Gov. Asa Hutchinson's veto of a bill that would prohibit state and local law enforcement authorities from helping to enforce certain federal gun laws. After a testy debate among some members, the Senate voted 21-12 to override the governor's veto of Senate Bill 298 by Sen. Gary Stubblefield, R-Branch. Eighteen votes in the 35-member Senate are required to override a veto.

Less than two weeks after a nationwide survey by the McLaughlin group found a majority of American voters favor enforcing existing gun laws over passing new ones, Rasmussen has released the results of a similar poll that arrived at a similar conclusion.
According to Rasmussen, “65% of Likely U.S. Voters say the country needs stricter enforcement of existing gun control laws. Twenty-seven percent (27%) disagree.”
